For years I have used a corded hedge trimmer to keep my English ivy under control. This year the warmer and wetter climate have caused the ivy to surge in growth. Getting the heavy duty power cord out at least weekly is time consuming and a real pain. This trimmer works better than my old corded one and saves me time and aggravation - and it is safer. I trim my ivy more frequently and my yard looks better kept for it. Power and duration are excellent. I'm very happy.
I own 5 GW power tools having made the decision to "go battery" 3 years ago. Trimmer, pole pruner, hedge clippers, chain saw & blower. All have met expectations. I have 2 - 80v and 3 - 60v. I have a wooded homesite so there is always something that needs blowing, trimming or cutting. I have no regrets.

My wife and I researched every cordless trimmer on the market before deciding on this wonderful trimmer. For her, it had to be cordless, lightweight and cut easily. For me, it had to be powerful, versatile and efficient. She tried it on several small bushes around our house and was super surprised how fast she trimmed them without any fatigue. The true test for me was trimming our 10' evergreens next to our house. Because of its long cutting length, I didn't have to reach in too far in some tight spaces around the evergreens. It made cutting a breeze. We both give this trimmer two thumbs up!

Great power, quiet performance

I've had this unit for 3 weeks now. The first thing I noticed was that the bar is heavy duty steel with sharpened cutters. The last one I had was a wimp by comparison. It goes through twigs and small branches with ease. I have 4 amp hour batteries, but the 2 amp hour one was sufficient to trim an azelia bush, about 20 feet in diameter and still have power left to do another hour or so of trimming without running out of power. The handle pivots for vertical trimming as well. Aside from being quieter than the 2 cycle gas one it replaced, there is a lot less vibration which is a lot easier on the hands and arms.

It's an Amazing Hedge trimmer. Very light on your hands, easy to maneuver for a 26" inch long. It feels effortless to cut or trim up 1" branches. Love that it's brushless and most important that it's made in the U. S. A . It feels on your hands right, well made for tall or small person. And the best parts it's noiseless, no gas or oil to mix. No mess or tune up to worry. Just plug it to charge and ready in 60 to 120 minutes and you are ready to rock and roll. Easy to interchange batteries from all my 60Volts yard machines.Best purchase I ever made strongly recommend it to any homeowner who really appreciate and product well made.

Great hedge trimmer. The blade was longer than I expected and that makes it a little difficult to lift over your shoulders for an extended period of time. Once you add the battery, the trimmer does get a bit heavy so I’d advise against using it for more than 20 mins. The blades are sharp and when you pair it with a 60v 2.5 Ah battery, it has plenty of power to cut through small branches.

I am so happy we purchased this cordless trimmer. It is quiet, powerful and with the much larger blade the trimming goes so much faster, plus the handle that adjusts for horizontal or vertical cutting makes the job so much easier. Would definitely recommend to everyone.

Powerful but a bit heavy

I bought 60V hedge trimmer with a 2ah battery. Coming from a 18V trimmer, this Greenworks product is way more powerful, but I have to say this added power comes with a price - 50% more money and much heavier. I can deal with that extra weight, although after 30min you feel the difference. My wife has an excuse now...
