The last time I took my step-daughter to the hospital for what was supposed to be a routine procedure, I had brought my work laptop along so I could get things done. Unfortunately that routine procedure turned into a life-threatening episode, with me spending the better part of 2 nights and 2 days in a chair by her hospital bed. After she was home, I was going to log back on to check things at work and realized I had lost the expensive fob issued by work for logging in remotely. It would cost me a bundle to have it replaced, not to mention the risk to the company and embarrassment of having to report it lost.
Fortunately, I had put a Chipolo on the fob's key ring. I was able to use it to track down the fob to a room in the hospital where the chair I had used had been moved for cleaning. What a relief!

Chipolo offers two very similarly named models: one has support for Apple’s Find My ecosystem, and the other (this model) does not.
The Chipolo app itself is helpful, and the setup process is simple, but being able to use the built-in Find My app makes things simpler again.
