Dimensions are not correct

Dimensions are listed in installation manual (not with product info); though width listed is interior to interior at 13-1/2". Actual dimensions are over 14-7/8" wide, which is meant (I think) for under cabinet installation, not installation directly to ceiling. I am having difficulty finding the correct duct extension cover with appropriate dimensions. Dimensions are not listed with product specifications. Product looks great and matches Cafe Appliances in matte white. Asked if I could purchase paint if I need to have a cover fabricated (at great expense) and told the paint only comes in touch-up bottle size. Need assistance, please.
