Battery problems

Battery doesn't last like they say... even putting ok battery mode it lasts 3 days tops... unless this watch came with factory defects..?

This particular 745 was a refurbished replacement since my other one died from moisture. Thought they were meant for swimming? About 100 days after arrival (10 days past warranty period) it decided to randomly shut down during activities. It does it multiple times with in minutes. It’s completely useless for gps tracking.
It does function as a very expensive digital watch. So there’s that….
Looking for a replacement that isn’t a Garmin.

I have had my watch for 3 years now with no issues.i love it!
My only complaint is that none of the Garmin watches calculate pool swimming laps when you use a kickboard and kick.

The Forerunner does everything I need it to, and more. I bought it for reliable GPS tracking and it hasn't failed me. I love the everyday use u get out of it for messaging, weather, etc. I'm happy with the battery life. I tend to charge it once a week overnight. I line the availability of after market bands. I have the music version but I don't really use it much while I run. I appreciate how the garmin app automatically syncs with Strava which honestly I don't look at much anymore since the connect app tells me what I want to know. I'm still learning about vo2 max but that's interesting to see as well. I got a pretty gnarly scratch on the glass which I hated. I'm used to it but I wish I could do something about it.

Nice watch. Lots of usually features for the active individual. I wish the glass was a little tougher. Had a crash on the road bike and scrapped it pretty good. Still readable and not as damaged as others would be. Glass almost seems to have healed itself, sort of.

Great triathlon watch

Multifunctional watch, light weight and super use friendly. I use it everyday so I need to replace it more often than I would like but otherwise does everything I want and need it for, swim, bike, run, strength, ... good for advanced athlete but beginner looking to track more than one sport. Batter lasts pretty long even on sports mode.
