The new update made the wifi crash every 10-15 minutes making it very hard get work done.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had been in the market for a modem and router combo. I especially looked at all the netgear equipment and I have to say the Orbi has exceeded my expectations. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking into it. My next buy will be the add on satellite to go with it.

Hard to set up, but amazing coverage once I got this bad boy going.

Took me literally 3 hours of trouble shooting because there are three ways to set up router/modem combo. Eventually after trying every option possible finally got it going. It was totally worth it though because now I can get my internet easily 5 to 8 houses away. I forget to turn my mobile coverage back on the internet is so good. Just would of gave it a five if they had an easier setup.
A really nice change for us. streaming is now what it is suppost to be.

The. Worst.

I’ve had to restart this router daily— sometimes numerous times per day— for the past couple of months. Before that, it still needed to be restarted every month since it was purchased. I thought this would be an upgrade from the original Nest mesh… I was wrong. I paid for the best at the time thinking it would last… I was wrong.

Not impressed for the price

Bought it a little over a year ago and at least once every two months I have to reboot it cause the wifi doesn’t work and will not load anything. Have troubles trying to connect smart home items such as alexa, thermostat, my tv as well. My devices will lose connection out of no where at times.

1.4 Gbps from Xfinity!

Please change your information page! Netgear identified and fixed an issue last year with a firmware update. Download speeds went from 600-700 Mbps to 1.4 Mbps on Xfinity. This is an awesome product. Truly, the only product to provide a whole house MESH network for my 5000 sqft house with one router and one satellite.
Drops signal constantly this can’t even cover 1500sf. When it works it works fine but it drops signal constantly it has to be turned off and on several times per day to get actual use.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
