sleek, attractive range

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am enjoying using my new range that was installed earlier this month. I was concerned about the black being hard to clean without streaking but am surprised how easy it is. I just use Dawn, water and my dish cloth.

This stove is everything I wanted. Cooks perfect coil heat. Very easy to clean.
Haven't used the oven clean cycle. Bake cycle works perfect.

Nice looking electric range

A watched pot never boils

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We needed a coil top stove for canning purposes, so we chose this range because it is one of the few remaining stoves available with coil heating elements. Unfortunately, this stove has "smart" coils that are supposed to turn off when the temperature gets too high. Well, we tried to boil water in a large Dutch oven pan on one of the 8" burners. The burner shut off before we could get a rolling boil going. We had a local tech (ordered by Whirlpool) come out to determine if anything was wrong, but everything seemed to be functioning as designed (he also couldn't get water to boil during the 20 minutes it was turned on high). He called Whirlpool to strategize with one of their techs and was told that we should just go out and buy regular, old-fashioned burners ourselves, but Whirlpool would not replace the "smart" burners with anything other than more "smart" burners. So we had to go buy new burners, out of pocket, elsewhere - just to boil water! We are not happy. The oven seems to work fine.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Can't review it yet since I only have the use of 3 burners and I can't use the oven. How did it leave the factory in that condition? The oven door doesn't stay open. Certainly can't try to take something hot out of the oven without getting burned. Since you insist I rate the oven now I can only give it a 1. It needs to be repaired. It's brand new. Check your appliances before they leave the factory .

Whirlpool drop-in stove

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very nice stove. The reason I gave it a "4" is because I am short and where the controls are, it sticks out some that I can't reach the back of the stove to clean it. Otherwise it works great.
