Decent upgrade

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used Motorola baby monitors in the past and just recently having a baby testing this one out made me very curious to see how they have changed since the last one I bought 5 years ago. This model definitely has its pros and cons but it is a decent upgrade from the old model I had. Pros: Decent sized display that is not only HD but also touchscreen as well Two-Way audio Temperature monitoring ability Wifi/phone app abilities Cons: Signal can be touchy at times and disconnects (makes a noise to let you know this has happened though) Slow to pan the camera (personal preference I like the touchscreen and all but prefer the buttons to be manual) Overall it is a good product and for its price point could made a good baby shower gift. I would recommend it for sure!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Listen. I'm old school. I'm sheltered. I'm technologically illiterate. I'm used to the walkie talkie style baby monitors that keep you imprisoned within 50 ft of your babe. So to say the bar wasn't set all that high Is probably an understatement. THAT SAID - This monitor is pretty much everything I imagined and more. Off the bat - the crisp and clear image you see is incredible. When your little inevitably chucks their wubbanub, the flashlight makes swift retrieval possible. The wifi/app aspect provides a level of convenience I've not had before. It can double as a nanny cam when you're out! I love that there are angels to the image you see. The signal *can* be touchy at times - but I find that to be the case with all things wifi these days. It will tell you the room temp! If your batteries run low you will get an alert as well as when/if you are out of range. Love that it is preloaded with stories that can play long after you've read a few yourself. I'm not a huge fan of having to use the touch screen for everything. I miss having good ol' buttons to press. Overall - easy setup, great picture although laggy, reliable and convenient.

I like that you can download an app to view camera on phone instead of carrying around the screen all the time. The only thing I would improve is the two way speaking function. There is a delay that makes two way conversations difficult, but I also realize this isn't the intended purpose for the unit. If your looking for a camera monitor that allows you to speak to baby this is an excellent choice. The temperature monitoring is nice as well. Overall, this is a solid camera and I would recommend to friends.

It's a huge piece of mind while I work from home and can lay my baby down for naps while still able to see her. We unfortunately don't have a baby yet but set it up to monitor our dog while we are at work. It's very easy to use and the touch screen is fantastic. Highly recomend.
