Mic Issues

I ordered and received this headset in April. It worked well for awhile but slowly and surely started to deteriorate in functionality. First, the Bluetooth connectivity distance started to shorten. When I first received the headset I could be anywhere in my relatively modest apartment and receive signal to my headset. I was also able to talk and others could hear me from any place in my apartment. However, about 2 months in, the distance from which I could receive audio over Bluetooth shortened and now, unless I'm within 8-ish feet of my device (that has the headset dongle), people can not hear when I speak.
Also, starting in about July, my mic has started to "short out." Often times, when speaking, my mic messes up and sends an inaudible signal to others I'm speaking with. For the price of the headset, you can get something that is FAR more reliable.
However, the battery life is alright. And the sound quality is average. Not great, but not poor. I don't expect a perfect headset for sub $100, but I certainly expect the mic to be fully functioning for more than a couple months...
Bottom line, probably get something else.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
