Easy to use tool

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have loved skin care since I was young. It only made sense that I became an aesthetician. My passion for skin care overflowed into make up as well as supplemental. I currently work for a naturopath doctor and we help people heal from the inside out. I perform numerous treatments to help slow the aging process. I couldn't love what I do any more and only wish to help more people through my knowledge and training of skin and makeup practices as well as my education on nutritional supplements. I am 36 with three kids and the signs of aging are creeping up faster than I would like! I love to try things to combat that while staying out of a doctors office.I love PMD and their new professional microderm elite pro does not disappoint. Their tools always give me professional spa results. The Microderm Elite gives me smoother skin and smaller pores. I tend to get larger pores on my T zone where I am more oily but using this tool twice a week has reduced the size of my pores drastically. I would recommend this for 16yrs and up as long as you watch a quick educational video that PMD has readily available on their website. There really isn’t any room for error but they supply great tips and advice on how and when to use it! The set up is easy and quick as well. Great to use this and not a bulky microdermabrasion machine.

I have had the opportunity to learn about and try many professional and consumer tools for skincare and have had a few different styles of microdermabrasion performed on me, so I was very excited to see how the Personal Microderm Elite Pro stacks up!I love that this version comes with the three different caps: one for face, one for body and one for blackhead removal! Awesome amount of options for the money spent. Also love that there are 4 different levels of discs to use, and one for body, one for face in each of the 4 types, so a total of 8.After doing my first treatment on the most sensitive disc on my face, I love the result! My skin already looks and feels smoother!!! The treatment is only supposed to be once per week on the same area, so I’m about to complete the second! This feels so great, the nap of which direction to glide the device is very helpful and the case that holds everything so neatly is great! I have really noticed a difference and next up is the body!

The Elite is definitely our Personal Microderm with the most options available allowing the user to adjust speed and suction strength to their skin and skincare routine. Oh....and it is cordless.

Microdermabrasion has been a long time favorite of mine! As much as I love chemical exfoliation, mechanical exfoliation is just as important. I love knowing that it’s getting the dead skin off effectively and very easily. I am such a fan of the fact that this has a body tool as well! I’m an avid self tanner, so I use the body tip to exfoliate before I get in the shower. Charging this is a breeze and I love that it comes with a stand so I can keep this on top of my vanity or easily store this upright in my cabinet. I highly recommend this to anyone who’s looking for a salon experience at home! I love it.

Not sure if this device is good for oily skin

In all the time I have had and used the Personal Microderm Elite Pro, I have not noticed any discernible difference in the look of my skin. First, none of the directions indicated if the device should be used before or after washing your face. I have tried both ways and have not recovered any skin debris. Also, my skin looks exactly the same as I did before using the device. My skin is very oily and it may be that this system is not meant for my skin type. I will keep using for several more months - just to know for sure if this was a completely unnecessary purchase, or a skin regime worth the perseverance and the high cost. I would like to reserve the right to re-review the product after six months have elapsed.

Prior to use, I diligently reviewed all available tutorials and instructional videos to ensure proper technique. However, my initial experience with the device was less than ideal. Despite starting with the gentlest setting, I encountered significant welts on my cheek and irritation along my jawline, accompanied by blotchy marks lasting for about three days. On subsequent attempts, while the welts were less pronounced, I still experienced abrasions on my skin. Though I followed recommended precautions, including ensuring dry, product-free skin, I remain cautious about further use. I would advise this device for individuals with less sensitive skin and a higher tolerance for such treatments. It's crucial to avoid concurrent use with retinoids, micro-needling, or other active skincare products, and to proceed slowly, refraining from repeated passes over the same area.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a first-time user of the PMD BEAUTY Personal Microderm Elite Pro, I wanted to share my experience, which was a bit of a rollercoaster. Initially, I was quite excited to try out this new tool with its unique discs, but my first attempt didn't go as smoothly as I had hoped. I ended up with what I like to call "microderm racetracks" on my face—thankfully, they weren't very visible and healed quickly. The training disc was surprisingly abrasive, and I think steaming my face beforehand didn't help. Even though I waited for my face to completely dry, it was likely still too supple, which might have contributed to the mishap. I also now know that for this tool my face is more on the sensitive side.The following week, my experience improved significantly. I became more comfortable with the tool and learned not to go "NASCAR" on my face. Pushing the disc in a little more and ensuring my face was much drier made a world of difference. This time, I achieved a smoother, more controlled exfoliation. I was amazed at how quickly I could see results, and I decided to incorporate the PMD BEAUTY Personal Microderm Elite Pro into my weekly skin cycling routine on exfoliating days.Overall, I am happy with the tool and the results it provides. However, I gave it a 4/5 stars because the learning curve for new users can be a bit steep, despite the instructions and videos provided. My initial error was barely noticeable on my darker skin, but I urge those with lighter skin to be extra cautious. I also wouldn't recommend using it for the first time right before a major event. Once you get the hang of it, though, the PMD BEAUTY Personal Microderm Elite Pro can be a fantastic addition to your skincare routine.

I am in my early 60s and I am always looking for products and cosmetics to improve my personal appearance as well as my skin health. I take pride in skin as it is my clients first impression before their facial. PMD Microderm Elite Pro is a great at home tool, but it is not the easiest of tools to use, the included instructions are minimal. It take practice to angle the tool on your face to get the correct suction and glide on the skin to buff and glide on the skin. I used it on my face with the small luxe cap but had a lot of trouble getting it to glide for a sweep because it is a bit bulky. I also tried the blackhead Cap and it was too bulky around my nose. I have been a fan of PMD products and I love using microderm, but this one didn’t work well for me.

The Elite Pro, and all of our Personal Microderm devices definitely have a learning curve, especially since they all have suction. Learning to move the the Personal Microderm across the skin without it getting stuck in place becomes easier the more practice you have with it. There are also links to many different videos on our website that show how to use our devices.
