[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] From the keyboard layout to the way the screen uses up all of the available size, with no obtrusive borders surrounding it, this laptop is exquisitely made. Simply.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great laptop. I love how the screen can move around.
Great feature everyone should know about, you can switch the Fn and Ctrl keys around with Lenovo's built in software. Very helpful if you're used to having the Ctrl key in the corner.
So far I've experienced great speed and found the computer can handle plenty of applications with ease.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] An excellent PC for note-taking. I'm a part time graduate student who takes a lot of notes, this computer allows me to handwrite my notes as I prefer, but also have them accessible from multiple devices.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I found one of these for what I thought was a good deal on the outlet site, but discovered why they had stock of these when more desirable laptops were sold out. Mine had the i5-1145G7, which I would think would generate less heat than the i7 models. Even so, with the aluminum body that acted as a heatsink, this was way too hot to have on my lap, where LAPtops tend to go when you're away from the desk. The vent being at the back/middle compounds this issue. If you try to hold this as a tablet from the hinge side, you've got your hand by the heat and potentially obstructing airflow. If it's resting on your leg, it further concentrates the heat where you don't want it.
A lot of this is actually not Lenovo's fault. Intel, in a rush to stay competitive, pushed more power into their chips to increase performance, but that comes with heat. Lenovo could have also chosen to limit the wattage delivered in this laptop, and it appears they should have. With a convertible device, I'd imagine it's quite an engineering challenge, but if the back-middle vent was the best they could do, maybe the device shouldn't have been produced at all.
Coming from other Thinkpad keyboards, the ergonomics on this were also terrible. Due to it being a convertible, they made the keys *and* the TrackPoint buttons flat. This destroys the feel of the keyboard and the position/flatness of the buttons makes the normally-wonderful TP experience unbearable.
I've enthusiastically switched to a T14 Gen 2 AMD. It has better thermal management and the heat that is produced is vented out the right side. Do yourself a favor and avoidt this and any other 11th gen Intel devices unless you *really* need Thunderbolt support and a modern cpu.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a perfect business laptop. I am on the road 3 weeks every month. Great keyboard as usual, garaged pen works perfectly. I like the dark gray color option
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] we bought the Win 11 version not linux but the device is everything we expected. I already have a Yoga 900 and I have loved it all along. The hinge is why I bought it but soon loved everything about it. The X1 was a purchase for my Son and he has always liked my 900 and now he has his own to love.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] great notebook, with fantastic screen (UHD) and speakers. if battery life could be better, this X1 Yoga gen 6 will be the perfect one.
