[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It’s an excellent product especially for people who need to interface with lots of different hardware, like sensors and sd-card etc. I use this system to debug and run our ROS2 controlled robots. The decision was made easy as it has both a powerful cpu/you combination that is fast enough to visualize ROS sensor streams and has an official stamp to be able to run Ubuntu.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m a loyal Thinkpad fan since IBM. I hate the soldered RAM of trendy notes so basically I have no choice other than Thinkpad. I received one had a little scratch on the frame. It’s just a minor cosmetic thing but that was a bit disappointed in QC of Lenovo. I love this L14 itself though I hate the smooth surface which easily gets oily and looks gross when I use the touchpad because I use hand cream always. I miss textured hard plastic shell that Thinkpad used to be. The fingerprint scanner is a joke. It doesn’t scan 4 out of 5 times and I have to input a pin instead. This never happened with the old Thinkpad models which has a metal scanner. Am I doing wrong? Backlit keyboard has 2 level brightness which is very useful. Ryzen 5 is good but I should have spent extra to buy Ryzen 7 model. I prefer Linus than Windows so I will install Ubuntu soon. Overall I love this product personally.

The only flaw is the AMD ThinkPad's come with a Realtek wireless card which isn't detected on most linux distro's, even the latest Ubunutu 21.x.x. Additionally again on linux the laptop would not wake up from sleep, I would have to power it off and back on again to use it. If you don't plan on using linux on the laptop anytime soon I would definitely recommend this laptop, however if you are going to use linux you will either have to compile your own wifi drivers or replace the wireless card with an Intel one.
