This is not a high end computer. It is a highly-functional, excellent-priced laptop. For me this one replaced another economy priced laptop that's 3-4 years old which I'm using it to write a novel. I was worried only 4 gb of ram would be a noticeable limitation. So far it's not. This laptop boots fast, runs the latest Office (Word especially) and Scrivener. In addition I'm constantly in a browser doing research or managing my email. This laptop is sooo much better than my old laptop. My only regret is that I didn't buy it sooner.
