I'm not a big gamer but it fits the bill for the above needs. I'm sure if I was a more serious gamer this headset might not be top tier. But if that's not your focus this does really well.

For work when I listen to music it’s great to have an option for music listening but for films and gaming I can switch to surround sound to feel immersed in whatever I am doing. Extremely comfortable and easy to use.

The only real complaint that I have is that there's a weird pressure that happens around your ears if you wear them for too long that makes them a little sore. Other than that, their awesome headphones, the 7.1 surround sound is very good and I love that they have a mic switch and that the mic boom is retractable.
