May be ok for gaming and chat, but I definitely don't recommend them if you want high quality audio. If you want high definition audio for music, etc, save up for the better quality ones like Bose. Also try them on first if you plan on wearing them for hours. The lighter and more comfortable the better. These ones adequate for beginners, or possibly telemarketers or light-duty gamers.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) The braided cord is reassuring for durability, but makes every motion create a scratching sound that comes through the headset. Otherwise, very happy with this product.
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Surprisingly, the audio quality is good for this low cost headset. Its design is great and lightweight so you can wear it comfortably. The cable is really long so I use a bungee cord to hold it up to avoid dangling.
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) The headset was exactly as advertised. I have only used it for a couple of days and I am completely satisfied.
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) The fit is good overall and fits comfortably over your ears. Sound is OK for the price. You can hear people talk since it is not fitting tight against your head.
