This is not compatible with a mixers that have a bowl lift
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first bread bowl but I love the looks of it and the sturdiness! I believe this bread bowl will last me a very long time! I don't have much recipes yet but I will be getting more to use this to make kinds of bread! We have always store bought but now this will be used instead of buying bread from the store!

Not for a 5 qt crank-lift mixer.

Clever idea and I would buy one in a heart beat, BUT this 5 qt bowl won't fit on a lift head 5 qt mixer. The 5 qt mixer for this has to be a tilt-head.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have only been able to bake bread thus far of which came out amazing. However, since my Kitchen Aid mixer is not the proper one for this particular bowl, I still had to mix the ingredients in the metal bowl that does lock in to place.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the smell and taste of freshly made bread. I am always making some sort of flavor and texture of bread as one of my kitchen hobbies. Already owning a KitchenAid blender/mixer I was looking for something to help hold the dough while I was preparing it and found the Bread Bowl with Baking Lid. Thanks KitchenAid.

Seriously she makes the best home made bread and the "KitchenAid Bread Bowl with Baking Lid" made her life much easier. Now she makes bread for the entire family. Have not bought a loaf of bread since I got the bowl. Every bread maker should have one of these.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I use my mixer daily. Just got into wanting to bake my own breads. This was the perfect accessory. Just the right size, and can leave dough right in the bowl to rise. The lid it comes with is a good fit.
