Best all-in-one accessory for creating bread

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The biggest benefit of the bread bowl is that it is an all-in-one accessory that you can mix in, proof in, and bake in. For someone new to baking who only wants one piece of equipment, this make sense. It works well as mixing bowl and a bread baker. However, I still prefer to use a banneton for the second proofing, which, because it is much shallower than the bowl, allows me to more gently transfer the dough to the lid for baking. Once it gets into the oven, the mixing bowl and lid create the perfect steamy environment to rise (oven spring) and create a crispy crust. Because the bottom of the bread is baking on the lid, the bread slides right off when done. All in all, while I think the product could be improved by making the bowl shallower, it succeeds as an all-in-one accessory for creating tasty, crispy bread.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great Product!! This makes my life so much easier. Price of food is rising everywhere and life is busy. This doesn't take long to make bread and so much easier than using a bread maker!
Instructions are easy to understand. Mix and bake in the same bowl, less clean up, is pretty amazing in my book. I highly recommend getting this bowl.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’m all for one bowl anything, so I was excited to try the bread bowl. I was really surprised at how heavy it was. Very high quality, so it should last years and years easily. It fits perfectly onto my mixer. Really easy to make bread in from start to finish. Mix, proof & bake with no extra bowls needed. Baked the bread nice and even in the oven. Very easy clean up. This bowl is a nice addition to the KitchenAid brand and great for bread bakers.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is the best investment if you enjoy making your own breads. I was unsure if it was worth it but now I have zero doubts. I am very pleased with the bowl. Not too heavy and easy to clean. The lid fits perfect and my bread is always so soft.

It's so amazing to be able to use it with my Kitchen-Aid stand mixer to directly mix the dough in it. No need to transfer it, just proof it in the bowl and then bake it in the bowl. It cuts down on mess and bakes a beautiful loaf of bread.

Makes baking rolls and loaves a breeze

Caution needed

The 4 stars is because of the risk of severe steam burns. I am not a careless person, but when I took the lid off to brown the bread I got 3rd degree burns on 3 fingers from the steam that escaped as soon as you started to lift the bowl. 5 days later I still have huge blisters. The bread actually had a light golden crust at that point so taking the lid off might not be necessary.
5 stars for the function of the bowl and lid, While I will miss the wooden bowl for rising and this bowl needs to be cleaned between steps, overall it is a great product. ( read instructions completely, not a one step bowl) It does not make a huge loaf so if you have a large family this isn't practical. The recipe that comes with it makes a nice tender loaf.
