Bad design, untested recipe

My husband gave this to me as a Hanukkah present, so of course today I baked bread. I followed the enclosed recipe (Classic Boule) exactly, weighing everything in grams and lining the lid with parchment paper. The rising dough stuck to the inside of the bowl as it was baking, cementing it to the lid. I had to cut and pry them apart with a knife. The bread was torn apart, much of it remained stuck to the bowl. See the pictures.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Used it for the first time last night. At the 30-min mark, I had to use a screwdriver to separate the bowl from the lid. Some of the top was stuck to the bowl part when I pulled it away, but not too bad. Then when it was done, it was absolutely glued to the bottom, I had to cut it straight across the bottom to get it off. It was super yummy bread, but a total hassle. I’m going to keep experimenting but I’m not impressed so far. After soaking the base/lid overnight, it wasn’t burnt on the bottom, just thoroughly baked on.

Love the All in One Bowl

I was a bit dubious that it would function as advertised but much to my delight it does! I love being able to bake a loaf using one bowl and the results are really spectacular. Unlike some of the reviewers, my first loaf turned out great. I did use parchment to line the baking lid. I followed the recipe but used French style flour (instead of all purpose) for baking the first couple of loaves and I did add about one-half cup extra flour because it was too wet. My husband would like me to bake the bread that it produces every single day!

I made the "Everyday Artisan Bread" last night and it was a hit with the family. Crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Cannot wait to use it again.

STEAM HAZARD

I didn't have too many problems with the bread bowl itself, with the exception of the last 10 minutes of baking when it says to take off the bowl to brown the bread. The steam came out at 450 degrees and badly burned three of my fingers. There definitely should be warnings about that hazard. I will not use it again.

Big bowl!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got the kitchen aid bread bowl with lid complimentary from tryitsampling community. I'm impressed with the quality and thickness. It's very heavy! It fits well with my kitchen aid machine. For the bigger machine like the one my sister has, this bowl will not fit, so please note the size.
