Easy to use remote solar camera!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a spot of hunting land out in the boonies that has no access to power or of course internet and I have been looking for a solution to keep an eye on the access point as some people have jumped the fence and use it for target shooting, leaving trash and other junk for me to clean up behind. When I found out about the Vosker V150 Solar and Cellular Camera I figured I found my solution so lets take a closer look!
Packaging/In the Box – First off the camera is packaged in a clear fronted box with clear plastiformed trays obviously to allow for both a well protected but a neat presentation for on the shelf sales. Included are the camera itself, the quick install mount with two ball joint axis points, the battery, USB charging cable, 16gb high speed SD card, and manual for use.
Installation/Setup – Setup is super easy with the first step of course to give the massive 37Wh battery a charge for 12-24 hours, THIS IS NEEDED to fully bring the battery out of storage mode. Once you are fully charged install the battery and simply download the Vosker app and scan the QR code inside the battery door. The app will pair automatically with the camera and that’s literally it, you’re good to go!
Use – Once you have the camera paired with the app you can set the camera to the desired sensitivity, multishot, delay and transfer frequency. The camera has a great field of view and provides decent quality day and night pictures. The nightvision has a considerable throw at about an effective 80 feet in my estimation. When it catches activity, with my settings, sends the captured photos near immediately.
My Final thoughts on the Vosker V150 Solar Cellular camera is that it is the best solution for my issues considering the remote location. The subscription plans are reasonable and just remember you cannot access this camera for live viewing or camera stream being that it is cellular. Note that I have not driven the 80 miles out to set it up on the hunting plot so the pics are from my home where the cell service is at the edge of tower range where it works just fine. All in all a great and well built setup!

We use the cameral for construction site security.
The scheduling option in the camera is not ideal. For example the construction site operates from 7 am to 5 pm. Therefore I would like the camera to take pictures from 12 am to 7 am and then to start taking pictures from 5pm to 11:59 pm. The scheduling does not allow this option in the camera meaning you have to have 2 camera and 2 picture plans and more $$$ to monitor the same site of view. You can use the 1 camera but, then you are getting notifications all day that you don't need which is very annoying. If this portion of programing of the camera gets updated then the camera would be great!

Great Camera for Hard to Reach Areas

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The VOSKER® - V150 security camera is a great little camera for those areas which one does not have access to WiFi. It is weather proof, rugged, durable, and can withstand large changes in temperature. The best feature is that one does not need to have power or WiFi when thinking about where to put this camera. I needed a camera for a situation just like that. The back area of my property does not have a power source nor does my WiFi reach it. I needed a camera that can supply both its own power, and its own connectivity while also taking high quality pictures. The VOSKER® - V150 does just that. If you have a similar situation as me, I highly recommend the VOSKER® - V150 as your go to security camera.

Solid, HD, Connected, Security

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The V150 was easy to set up and install. The camera is housed in a steel box that is solid! It also has a solar power cell to support power. Just charge the battery with the usb cord (included), insert the SD card, install the app on your phone from the App Store. The app has all the settings you need to customize (frequency, times, HD, notifications, etc). Very user friendly app supported by live and online support. You can also choose a monthly or yearly subscription plan to send photos directly to your phone. Very reasonable subscription pricing. Value added remote location security.

My new toy!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Who knew they made a wireless and solar-powered camera with LTR cellular service? I mounted mine in my yard, along a canal. I get the service of a camera with the wires or worry of charging batteries. I get crystal clear pictures of the wildlife that is along my yard, as well as protecting the back entrance to my home from anyone who might want to try to do anything. The night vision images are clear and vibrant. I love knowing that I get to enjoy the wild fox and even the smaller animal and birds that cross my yard every week! Considering getting a second camera just to shoot the canal and see the birds of prey too.

A decent remote camera

Vosker put a lot of technology into a little package but unfortunately I was less than impressed with the picture quality. Daytime is ok but night time pictures are hard to see. A little more work on night vision is needed I think. The battery lasts as advertised due to the solar cell and the use of cellular LTE negates the need for WiFi. What's off- putting a little is the need to sign up for service after the trial period is over. You can get around that by pulling and reviewing the SD card but that's a hassle, especially is the camera is remote. Another drawback is it only takes two pictures at a time, and there is no option for video. A decent camera for capturing wildlife or recon for hunting but I wouldn't want to depend on it for security.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi Jim, thank you for your review and feedback. Take note that the illumination range of the unit is 80ft and that the background of the physical installation can affect the IR flash performance. For best results it's recommend to test the unit at different angles with a sufficient background. Great camera for remote locations. It works well with a low signal too. It was easy to set up. No complaints so far. There is room for improvement but for newer technology for remote locations you can’t beat it. I hope they continue to grow as a company and able to improve the technology. Thanks for making this camera as we have been looking for a long time for something that meets our needs.

Remote Tech

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a very well constructed camera, with lots of features and quality. It takes shots (no streaming) based on motion. Because of the subscription parameters, best use is for capturing animals or occasional vehicle traffic. The chip and subscriptions are limited in capacity, so the camera will not work well for construction site security.

Hi brick, we offer many plans including one with unlimited photos each month. If the MicroSD card gets full, the new photos will overwrite the old one, that way, you don't have to worry of reformated it each time. -KM
