Good Looking Refrigerator

We really like the inside lighting and the looks of the frig. We needed a smaller width refrigerator for the space that we have at the new house. We bought a side by side GE but doors would not open all the way. The only problem we the new frig is that the control panel is hard to see the words and does not light up. Other wise I would of gave it 5 stars.
I would recommend this to a friend!

its a great fridge but no fancy stuff

Fridge looks great and is pretty solid. No issues with it and the water and ice maker does a good job. Fridge and freezer stays cold. Nothing fancy about this fridge but it works and seems dependable. The control panel for water, ice, etc buttons should have been back lit or something because its hard to read the labels on them.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Wish I hadn't bought

Can't read the control panel. Drawers and bins are flimsy. Crushed ice scatters all over the compartment. Doors are not easy to close and the freezer drawer is in the way when opening.

New GE Fridge

This is still very new to us so we don't have a long term review. So far the improvements I would like to see is 1) the wording on the front where the water/ice must be selected is very hard to read. 2) the ice is a little messy when it comes out. 3) You also have to make sure you hold your cup under the water for a few seconds once the water stops or it drips.
We like the look and it was perfect that it fits in our small space. We are hoping this is an improvement from our LG that died right after our 5 year warranty expired. Expensive appliances should last much longer than that!

I hate this fridge

A couple months after we got the fridge it started operating super loud. We called for service and rhe fan in the freezer had iced up. They told us to take everything out of the fridge and let it thaw out (luckily a neighbor had an empty one in an apetment he was transitioning. Turned it back on it was quiet for a couple of weeks then back again. The next time the tech told us it was a fan issue and he had multiple calls of people with this fridge… same issue. They replaced the fan. Same thing happened a couple months later. This has been ongoing and repeated and we have had the fridge 1.5 years and it’s a constant headache. They won’t replace the fridge. I’m never buying GE again.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I won't buy GE again

It iced up around the fridge vents and the entire left side of the freezer. The repairman came yesterday (the fridge is just one month old) and releveled it and today it is iced up again. So far, GE is not my favorite.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
