We love that we don't have to bend over or get on the floor to reach inside to get what we want. I really love the door shelves!!! I love my new refrigerator.

Long awaited refrigerator now up and running...

Our 15-yr old Kenmore bottom-mount refrig was using a whole lot of energy and needed to be replaced by a similar size and style refrig. Researched and found this GE bottom freezer (with door, not drawer) refrig that would fit the not so large space allotted in our kitchen. Had to wait almost 3 months for it due to backorder. PROS: Energy Star (have noticed drop in electrical usage after first month); fits my space; Bottom Freezer Door (not drawer) has freezer light; has deeper shelves in refrig door. CONS; No shelf in freezer door, did not come with a Deli Drawer, no Ice Cube Trays or tray holder, no butter dish compartment, and the owners manual is poorly printed on cheap recycled brownish paper. Best thing about it is the Energy Star performance.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Freezer on Bottom with Door a Plus!

All the appliances in my kitchen are white; easy to clean; classic. Having the freezer on the bottom with a door instead of a drawer is a major plus. Makes it easy to recognize and see what is stored in the freezer. Refrigerator storage is ample and food is easily accessible and is at eye level.

Good, but far from perfect

This replaced a 12-year-old GE Profile, which was far better in every respect. It showed temperatures, not settings on a 1-3 scale; had much better layout of shelves in both fresh and frozen compartment; had better interior lighting; and the stainless steel was fingerprint-resistant while this seems fingerprint-attracting. Because of constrained supplies, we had to chose this as our best option when the older model gave out, but it's going to be frustrating living with these shortcomings for years to come.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The light doesn’t work without having to fool with it. It makes a high pitched whining noise. Bottom freezer isn’t cold enough.

The fridge shelves are deeper and make for more storage space. Also lots of room on the door shelves for tall bottles. I don't see any advantage for the swing door on the bottom freezer. Would prefer a pull-out drawer.
