[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I upgraded to Whirlpool after 2 Amana freezers (same size) were defective and had to be destroyed. This one seems to be OK, but does not seal tightly after closing the lid. No frost has accumulated, though, as happened with the first two I received.

Decent freezer for the money - but will it last?

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Took delivery of this freezer early this month. The size is pretty convenient and I like that the baskets are wire rather than plastic. It has a hard top, which I appreciate. It's not going to dent when you set things down on it (my Kenmore did). The indicator lights on the front are also really useful. The compressor is slightly noisier than I had hoped - audible from outside of our pantry, but only a bit. There is no interior light in this size, which is a pity. Ultimately, what I want to see is that it lasts 18 years like my Kenmore did. The Kenmore was actually still running fine, but the case was getting rusty and the indicator light was failing.
I would recommend this to a friend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Recently purchased this freezer because it is the right size (not too big, not too small), you can use it as a freezer or refrigerator (love having options), it has drains to keep defrosting mess down, it has two metal baskets and it's made by a well-known dependable brand, Whirlpool.
So far everything is as advertised! =)
