We had purchased this lawnmower for an area of our yard that we did not want to use the riding lawnmower on. Due to us working on the area, the grass had grown very high (maybe 10” or more). This lawn mower had no problem handling that grass that tall.

Great lawnmower...Defective Expensive Batteries

Greenworks maker great lawnmowers but I will never buy anymore of their products as the batteries I purchased are defective and expensive. What good is a lawnmower without a battery? I could not think of a better way to lose customers.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Was delivered with a defective battery charger, therefore is useless until Greenworks bothers to replace it. It’s interesting they want me to rate the product but state they are behind at Customer Service. I will be fined by the City if my grass is too high so the product is useless unless the batteries can be charged.

Bought for my daughter so she won’t have to deal with maintaining and starting a gas engine. She has a small yard so no problem with running out of battery. The two batteries supplied must both be installed to run the mower.

I am 78 years old and decided to start mowing my own yard! I have had a service for years, but my yard size has decreased because I’m using a lot more mulch and ivy. So I decided to give it a try and stop the service. The mower suits me just fine. It is quiet, lightweight and easy to use. And I get some good exercise.
I would recommend this to a friend!

great mower, great batteries, great design

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] There is a lot to like about this mower.
I took it for a spin this weekend and it is just SO quiet compared to my gas mower. It is also lighter which makes it easier to maneuver. It might be partially because my old mower has an older blade, but this blade seems particularly sharp. The first mow of the season is mostly cleaning up dead grass, but this seemed to glide through it.
I also really like the handle-bar. I rolled my eyes at the ergonomic shape when I first saw it, but wow... it makes a noticeable difference. The other thing about it, and it is a small thing but I really like it, the screws that hold the handle-bar in place are made so that you can very easily unscrew them to fold the handlebar down without accidentally unscrewing it too far. Such a small thing but it makes me happy.
It is really cool the way the batteries are used in different tools. They pop right into the battery compartment on the mower and slot in just as conveniently in the drill. I plan on at least buying the leaf blower.
The dual battery charger worked as great as you'd expect.
Now for my favorite part... being able to raise and lower the mower at all four corners with one lever. So easy. My old mower was set at one point and left that way because it is SO hard to adjust the front wheels. But with this, it is just so easy. I don't even need to stop the blade, just reach over and adjust the height. Boom.
