It washes dishes really well and actually dries them! I’ve had other dishwashers and they haven’t worked nearly as well as this one overall

It does ok, nothing special about this dishwasher. It wasn't installed correctly in our home, not sure if it is particularly difficult to install? Doesn't seem to dry dishes.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We know those issues would be frustrating to deal with, especially when adjusting to using a new appliance. We’d like to help.
We strive to make the installation process as convenient and easy as possible, but as you’re concerned this wasn’t done correctly you may want to reference the Installation Instructions for the model, available here: https://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=31-4000220-4.pdf . We hope that information will be helpful in repairing any installation issues, but if necessary our Service Department is also available at 1-800-432-2737 and would be glad to assist.
Regarding the drying issue, you may want to check that the water temperature is at least 120 degrees F. If you are using the Light/Time Saver cycle, you may want to switch to a longer cycle with a more thorough drying performance; using a Rinse Aid might also help. Terrible dishwasher

Brand new dishwasher came with a broken control panel. Been waiting weeks for GE to fix this and either the tech doesn’t show up or they delay servicing. I had the same issue with the control panel malfunctioning on a brand new GE microwave. Would not recommend this brand.

Very easy to use and cleans the dishes great! I enjoy the buttons being on top on the dishwasher, as a toddler mom it helps prevent him from pushing all the buttons.

My new dish washer has all the features that I need. It has a cycle that will steam and loosen the food from your dishes and has a drying cycle that leaves your dishes dryer.
