Worse dishwasher I've ever owned. Does not clean the dishes; is extremely loud, and the controls froze after two uses and we are unable to use it. Getting rid of it!!

Hi,
Thanks for telling us about your dishwasher. Having your unit operate louder than expected can be disruptive and we're sorry you went through this.
If you're unable to use the controls, they may be locked. To LOCK/UNLOCK the dishwasher control, press and hold the Cycle pad, or the Dry/Dry Boost and Steam pads simultaneously for 3 seconds. The Lock Controls light will turn on to indicate the control is locked and will turn off to indicate the control is unlocked. You can find more information on page 6 of your unit's Use and Care manual. Here's a link:
If this doesn't help, you'll need to schedule service by calling 1-800-432-2737 or visiting the link below: https://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/service.htm
Thank you for your time. We'll be here should you have any questions.
One year into using this and the spring that prevents the door to slam down broke. One year!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good afternoon,
Thank you for taking the time to provide a review on your GE Appliances dishwasher. We are truly sorry to hear that the door spring on your dishwasher is broken after one year of use as this is certainly not normal operation, nor the quality that we expect.
We recommend scheduling a service appointment with GE Appliances factory service team so we can get this repaired for you. You can schedule an appointment by calling the Service Department directly at 1-800-432-2737 Monday – Friday: 8 a.m. – 8 p.m. ET, or by scheduling online at the following link: https://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/service.htm
Thank you for your review, and for choosing GE Appliances for your home! -Devin@GEA
Wish I could say how the dishwasher works, however it does not even start. Tech came out to diagnose and apparently it needs a new motherboard. Brand new out of the box never used and already needs the motherboard replaced, GE you gotta do better than that, I’m not impressed

Oh no!
We're so very sorry that your brand new dishwasher isn't working due to the motherboard. This is certainly not the experience we desire for you and we want to check into this further! An agent will be reaching out to you via email to gather additional information. Please respond at your earliest convenience.
