replace old GE dishwasher

was difficult to decide on a brand but my old GE lasted 15 years+ and reviews are helpful. and made in USA is good. picking the right modell -so many to choose- the gdf550pgr7ww was my finale choice. installation was easy -water and electric lined up -out with the old -in with the new. this new dishwasher has many improvements. much easier to clean the filter-has timer-quieter and good price. lets see if it does the job and lasts! Very happy GE !

Seems to wash well that doesn't dry effectively. Always a lot of water left in the system well after the washer stops.

Does not dry the inside of the dishwasher. Dishes are dry but not the inside of the dishwasher. Not installed properly. Have to call a repair man out and I have only had the dishwasher for a week, after waiting a month to get it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I loved it when I would use it it really cleaned my dish’s well! I mostly hand washed my dishes since there is only 2 of us in house! I’d use it more when we had company! Then 2 months ago I decided to use it because I loved how it cleaned my dishes! Once a week I would turn it on! Today, six months later, I turned it on, and it really didn’t do anything and all of a sudden I have nothing when I attempted to do it again! So this product only worked for six months which I find is very sad. I’m not happy at all! An appliance should work a lot longer than six months shouldn’t have any problems at six months at least five years I would think! So, as of right now I am not a happy customer!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The only thing really that I am a little disappointed with is that there is no rinse only cycle. My old dishwasher had a 20 minute rinse only cycle which was great for rinsing a few dishes while waiting to make up a full load. Other than that, its a nice dishwasher. Works well.
