Replaced leaking dishwasher, hope it lasts
on October 23, 2021

We needed to replace our dishwasher because it was leaking on our laminate floor. The laminate floor is not waster proof or water resistant. We needed a Slate color to match other appliances. After 8 months an multiple orders being cancelled because of item was out of stock, we were able to get this one. Noise level is fairly low. Major negative is the normal cycle with drying boost is 3 hours, yes 3 hours. And as usual, the dishes and inside of the dishwasher are still wet and need to be dried with a towel.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi - Thank you for purchasing a new GE dishwasher for your home. We're sorry to hear of the difficulty you're having with the dry performance and can appreciate how frustrating that can be.
We would first recommend double-checking to be sure the dishwasher was connected to the hot water supply line in your home. Also, the following support document provides great tips to ensure you get the best possible dry performance -- https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=17451 --
If you continue to have difficulty and you are using the suggestions we've provided, we would recommend calling GE service to check the unit. If needed, please call 1-800-432-2737 M-F 7am-10pm, Sat 8am-6pm, Sun 8am-6pm EST to schedule an appointment. We hope this helps. Kind Regards - Vikki@GEA

Cleans well, Cheap Door
on November 1, 2021
Posted by: Exodus
from Littleton, CO
This washer does a great job at cleaning our dishes. Any of the gunk that gets left on our plates (because we're too lazy to grab a brush and scrub it) get removed. My only complaint is, the door feels so cheap. Because of this, we had a leak from our pizza stone bending the door which caused some water to leak. It wasn't much but I wanted to test my theory and it was true. Beyond the door, all is well!

Several times recently it runs a cycle without using the soap in the dispenser. We just bought this less than 90 days ago.

Hello,
We're awfully sorry to hear that the detergent in your dishwasher is not dispensing and know how much of a pain that is. If you have dishwasher detergent stuck in the soap cup after the end of a wash cycle, here are some things to check:
Detergent may be old, discard it and use fresh detergent. Store detergent in a cool, dry place, especially powder detergent. Check the spray arms for blocked spray holes. Make sure the soap cup is not blocked by anything: Reposition the dishes so the water from the lower spray arm can flush the detergent cup. Reposition the tall utensils or heavy silverware that may be keeping the dispenser cup door from opening. Do not place large bowls or pots directly under the detergent dispenser. Verify the spray arms are turning on their own. To test: Mark the spray arms with a piece of tape or a rubber band or observe their position. Run the dishwasher for at least 3 minutes. It is necessary to run the dishwasher for at least three minutes because the spray arms alternate on some models. Open the dishwasher door and observe the location of the spray arms. They should be in a different position than when the test was started. Make sure the soap cup actually opened at the end of the cycle. Check the filter area inside the dishwasher for any restrictions. The incoming water temperature should be at least 120 degrees, but no more than 140 degrees. You can test the water temperature by running hot water into a container at the sink and measuring the temperature there.
If the detergent cup is not opening or the spray arms not turning, then service may be needed. You can schedule an appointment by calling 1-800-432-2737 or schedule online at https://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/service.htm
Stay safe. Mike@GEA
