After the dishwasher is done there’s an area at the bottom that holds water so after a few days it starts to smell

Good washer. Profile line is much quieter.

Recently had a ge profile dishwater with metal instead of plastic liner. This new washer was builder installed. The new dishwater is much noisier and seems to be smaller. Perhaps just need to adjust upper rack.

Basic Dishwasher
on November 15, 2024

This seems to be a basic, entry level dishwasher. I do appreciate that it comes with a chopstick holder. It is quieter than I expected. The insulation around the machine is thin, so I was expecting it to be louder (it is advertised to be 52 dBA). It seems to clean reasonably well.
I'm not convinced that the Dry Boost works that well. The sides of the dishwasher stays wet for a long time. The organization of the bottom rack seems to leave a lot of empty. Maybe it works well if you put large pots and pans in it. My wife doesn't like how the adjustable top rack is designed. We have never had the rack fall of with dishes in it. But it does seem plausible.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We want to help out with the drying performance. You can check through the following article for tips that can help with maximizing your performance: (https://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-support-search-content?contentId=17451). We are going to pass your comments about the top rack over to our product team to review. That way we can look for potential improvements we can make going forward.

Congratulations on your new home! We are more than happy to provide guidance with your new dishwasher. It is not normal operation for the dishwasher door to drop down as described, and we advise scheduling service to ensure the door is properly installed. In regard to the dishwasher cycle, we recommend resetting your dishwasher by disconnecting power from the unit for 2 - 3 minutes and reconnecting power. If this reset does not revert the unit back to normal operating function and allow the cycle to complete, this will require service by a qualified technician. You can schedule an appointment with a GE Appliances technician by calling 1-800-432-2737 or schedule online at https://www.geappliances.com/ge/service-and-support/service.htm
