I am still struggling to understand (from the wordless instructions) whether the container must be tight for it to work. Not that easy or intuitive.

Works easily, disappointing design because...

We've owned "manual" SodaStream for more than a dozen years. Hubby always changed out carbonators. But he was away and I found that having petite arthritic hands, it was too difficult to wiggle the top off to do so. Ordered the OneTouch; looked so much easier! Greatly disappointed in that the top is still way too wide for petite and/or senior hands. Also disappointed that the electric cord is not held in place, just sits on counter threaded through a 3-sided hole (not enclosed). Finally, we are on yummy, healthy well water and for some reason we are getting a different taste using the same carbonators but this new OneTouch than our old Genesis model. No clue why this would be and we do NOT add flavors. Disappointed in the engineering of this "step up" model, but it does carbonate easily.

FABULOUS!

I bought the soda stream in an attempt to replace buying Topo Chico. There has been a shortage of it here in Texas, and it’s my favorite water. It has just the right amount of bubbles, and is fabulous by itself or mixed in a drink. Soda stream has replaced my Topo habit, with the exact same delicious bubbles! Love it!

Didn’t last long

I only got about thirty uses out of it and it no longer makes a good seal on the bottle and thus doesn’t carbonate the water any more.

I've been using sodastream for ... over a decade now. I always dreamed about a day when I could use a glass carafe and I am not disappointed. Not only does it look beautiful and work great, but now I can rest assured that I'm not contributing to the endless cycle of plastic waste when it comes to my soda water. Highly recommend.
