Bought this recently. The only instructions are pictures which, for the most part, are fine; however, having more details about how to put the cylinder into the machine would have been helpful. We didn't know if we should just push it up hard or try to screw it in or what. The pictures just indicated to push it up. Turns out, you need to screw it in, as we'll. We're still not sure if we screwed it in enough, but the machine is working well. Our main object is to eliminate the plastic seltzer bottles. Whether it ends up costing less or more in seltzer consumption is not the main point for us.

This Soda Stream stays right on my counter and we love it. It works every time and looks nice. We are also glad we got the glass containers even though this machine cost more than the others, it is worth the extra money to not have any plastics.

We received our unit about two weeks ago and it already feels part of our life. No more cans, bottles etc to deal with, when the bottle gets a little flat you just top it up and re- bubble. We love it and wish we’d got one sooner.

My sodastream sparkles my life and motivates me to hydrate more... because sparkling water is more of a pleasure. Effervescence has been a lifelong appreciation... delivered to glasses from my grandparents' blue seltzer bottles in Brooklyn and my family's lower Manhattan cafeteria, with a seltzer fountain for customers next to the water fountain. I particularly appreciate the environmental and health attributes of the glass bottle and hand pump. It's my wedding gift of choice now. I wonder about the health impact of more than a liter's worth of CO2 / day. ¿

In an era where it's almost impossible to find a company who says they are committed to customer service actually deliver any - Sodastream shines! This is a sleek, well designed successor to the Penguin(which I had for years and used daily) and I like this one even better because the housing is more solid & I find it easier to depress for carbonation and either to open afterwards. Just love the added bonus that it has an adapter so I can create "to go" non-glass bottles previously only possible if I gave up my glass carafes.
