Happy to have it back!

Our old version of this, the Crystal, died. We were without a soda stream for a month or so. So I am very happy to have it back. I couldn’t believe how many cans we recycled over that month. I do not like this machine as well as the Crystal. The solidness of the bottom half seems to make the joining of the top plastic part and the bottom stainless part feel less sturdy and awkward to seal. Also it seems to take more pumps before it activates the carbonation. But it is working, used glass bottles, so we’re happy.

Soda Stream Instructions

I have used the machine for 5 days. I like the taste. Not sure I am using it correctly because the instructions for use are not too understandable … I am sure I can find a Utube video. Hard to understand how to assemble it. Hard to figure out how to use.

It took a few minutes to figure out the chamber, but it uses much less CO2 than my older version and makes the water a little fizzier, I think. Love it!

I love the glass bottles

I love the glass bottles with this. However, It does leak when I push the bottom at the top. I have to hold the back part and the front part together so it won’t leak.

Lots of bubbles

The instructions were not helpful, but the videos were, to get started. It's pretty easy to use and possible to have as much sparkling water as you want. The glass carafe is nice- the grooves make it easy to hold even when wet, but one carafe does not quite fill 2 pint glasses. The unit is quite tall, so doesn't fit well under an upper cabinet.

Perfect for work at home lockdown

One of the perks I love most at my job is free seltzer. As the lockdown became imminent, I knew that making my own would be the only way to ensure a supply. I love this: so easy to use, and the glass bottles are washable and wonderful at keeping the fizz.
