Good machine, problematic bottles

The machine carbonates just fine, but the glass bottles are a problem. They do not seal well enough to maintain the carbonation in the water. If you don't finish a bottle within a few hours the water will be much less fizzy than before. Not sure why this happens - plain old plastic soda bottles manage to hold on to their carbonation for at least a day. Also, the bottles are only 620mL instead of a full liter. That means you'll be refilling more often, and since the Sodastream flavors all provide directions for mixing with one liter of water, you will have to calculate the correct amount to use and then find a way to measure it out, because the markings on the caps of the flavor bottles are all for mixing with one liter of water. This makes a mess and results in measuring spoons needing to be cleaned, which eliminates the convenience factor.

New Junk !

everything I have done [which is not much] the new unit that I got LEAKS EVERY TIME THAT I USE IT! So I'm now purchasing club soda from a store AGAIN. This unit leaks so bad that it has water underneath it every time I try to make a bottle of soda. I wished I could get my old one repaired . It is built very well , [not plastic like the new one]. If I had to do it over I'd find another brand to purchase.

Love our Soda Stream

We love our Soda Stream and use it daily. It stopped carbonating properly about a year after purchase. My issue was quickly resolved and a new one was sent. Excellent products and customer service.

Bought this to cut down

Bought this to cut down on the aluminum can usage; I like that the carafes are glass, versus plastic. My only legit complaint is that the Instructions Never stated how full to fill the carafe, so the first time I used it, I made quite a wet mess, as water shot out everywhere in the carbonating container, because I had filled the carafe all the way.
After enjoying the LaCroix flavors, it’s been a bit disappointing having to use the plain flavored Bubly drops, but I’ll get over that-and it’s not SodaStream’s fault.

I really loved my soda stream and was committed to the blue canisters however, the new machine the canister loosens up on it's own after use. Also now it has been incredibly hard to find refill cannisters at my local stores. They only have pink in stock.
