Great machine toxic bottles

For a company that claims to be reducing plastic waste I was shocked to learn the bottles that come with the machine are #1 PETE. PETE is known to be single use plastic and is proven to leach harmful chemicals with extended use. Machine is great but now I have a bunch of bottles I don’t want my family drinking from and glass bottles are not an option on this machine. Sodastream needs to offer glass on ALL models and be clear what plastic they are using upfront.

Great machine bottles not so much

The machine itself is great and makes delicious seltzer and soda. However the bottles that come with the machine our PETE, single use plastic yet Sodastream says to reuse repeatedly. You cannot put them in the dishwasher and extended use is known to leach chemicals. Why they don’t offer stainless steel or glass for all bottles is beyond me, I am going to have to get creative and find something else to use to make the seltzer.
