Damaged griddle top

Just purchased and griddle top is discolored and warped

Hello Feroz. We are sorry to hear about your griddle top. The good news is, it isn't ruined! Our tops are coated with soy oil to protect them in shipping, which may sometimes leave a sticky red or brown residue on the surface of the griddle. This will burn off when you season it for the first time. Warping may also occur at the beginning of your time with the griddle, but should flatten out within your first few cooks as the steel gets used to heat cycles. If you are still experiencing issues with the top after about 12 uses, reach out to our support team at support@blackstoneproducts.com and an agent would be happy to assist you.
