Nice addition

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently received this item and have really enjoyed the addition to my night stand. I think it has a clean overall look so easily blends in. Love that you can dim the face of the clock because I love a dark room. Also, love that I can connect my phone charger directly to it to minimize extra cords.

Great little device!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always had to sleep with either the TV on or a fan, this device eliminated both of those options for me. I was able to set the sounds I preferred, thunderstorm or ocean, and also a timer. I fell asleep feeling more relaxed. The alarm clock works well and it is easy to program and set. Both my teen daughters have asked me to buy them one of these as well. I’m really impressed by this product and foresee myself using it for years. Awesome job, Homemedics!

So many features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The style of this clock is just beautiful. So much different than the traditional rectangular alarm clocks. I had no issues at all figuring out how to change the sounds, set the clock, set the alarms... I thought the instructions were very simple and easy to follow.
It has many different sleep sounds and even has sleep therapy programs which play meditation type sounds and then transition to brown noise for the rest of the night. There is a timer that can be set so it doesn't play all night if that is what is preferred.
The dimmer feature is wonderful to keep the light on the clock from being too bright and keeping you awake. I personally like to have light in my room when I sleep so I leave it on, but for anyone that doesn't like to have a bright light on all night from the clock, It can be dimmed or even shut off completely.
This is even a bluetooth speaker as well as a phone charger. I don't have a need to use it as a bluetooth speaker but it's nice to know that feature is there if I ever do.The phone charger addition is wonderful though. There are times I really need to charge my phone in my room and have no available outlets to do so.
I love that there are two alarms you can set. I need two alarms since I get up at two different times during the night for specific reasons. It's much easier to have a separate alarm for each and not have to struggle with resetting the time to a later time when the first alarm goes off. That isn't even close to what I want to be doing when I am half asleep.
I do have a couple minor issues concerning the alarms. There isn't a standard alarm sound. You have to use one of the sleep sounds as the alarm sound. None of those sounds are something I would consider an alarm sound. Those sounds are meant to help you fall asleep and be soothing so using them to wake up seems odd. I use the Chime sound which was the closest thing I could find to an alarm. It works ok waking me up so that is a plus, but I really would prefer a real alarm sound to choose from. Also, the volume for the alarm isn't as loud as I would like. During this time of year (summer) I have an air conditioner running which is loud so my alarm needs to be even louder to wake me up. The alarm on this isn't nearly as loud as my last alarm clock and I have this one turned all the way up. This might simply be because it doesn't have a traditional alarm sound that is usually loud to begin with.
Overall, I do really like this alarm clock and it has so many functions and features. If my alarm issues wouldn't exist this would actually be the perfect alarm clock/sleep-sound machine.

The revised sound machine so far sounds good, however, all of the buttons are extremely hard to see in daylight. The buttons are impossible to see at night.
Does not have an on/off button. Just a pause button.
It’s a nice size, round configuration is attractive. It is smaller than it’s replacement which takes up less room on our table.

Should be recalled - changes tracks randomly

Bought the product for bedroom - played the ocean track, which is excellent, no repeats detectable. In the middle of the night, I'm startled awake by a woman's voice in my bedroom, scaring me half to death - I couldn't go back to sleep. The clock decided to change from the ocean track to a random guided meditation without any input. It happens every time I try to use it - sometimes after a few minutes, sometimes after a few hours. But EVERY TIME. It's like playing russian roulette with your sleep. STAY AWAY until they fix it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I have had insomnia a majority of my adulthood. I have been on a search for a sleep sound machine for a while now. I am so happy I found this one! My sleeping habits have been improving over time little by little which I figured it wouldn’t be an overnight fix but I am getting more sleep than I have in the past. Thank you Homedics!!

Just stopped working

I bought this product in January 2020 and it worked perfectly but in November stopped working. I tried plugging it into another outlet, replaced the battery, and it worked for about 2 weeks and then I couldn't turn it on again. I really loved this product and used it every night and for daily meditation but am disappointed that it just stopped working. It was pricey but I loved the variety of sounds and the ability to use Bluetooth.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
