i love the sound options

i really like this product. it has a lot of different sounds that help ease me to sleep. the battery area does not work tho, as everytime the electricity goes out, i have to reprogram it. i have bought new batteries. this part still does not work.
I would recommend this to a friend!

We are sorry to hear this. The product contains a back up battery to help maintain the settings in the event of a power outage. We would recommend replacing the battery if it is not maintaining the settings.

I can't sleep without this!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The HoMedics Deep Sleep Alarm Clock conveniently replaced a need for a separate sound machine and alarm clock unit! The device has a nice, contemporary/modern look. It comes with various white noise that lull you to sleep including ocean, thunderstorm, brook, and rain. The sound quality is my favorite feature. It is just top notch and has great clarity! I can't tell you how nice it is to relax with this after a long day! It even includes an auto- off timer that can be set for 15, 30, or 60 minutes. I like to set it at 30. I find that after 30 mins I'm relaxed enough to dose off and just prefer silence. You can also control the brightness of the digital clock. I have it set to the lowest setting but you can dial it down all the way to nothing at all. I love this sound spa/clock so much I'm taking it with me when we travel!

Needs different set buttons

Love the rain setting far and above rain on other sleep machines. But and this is BIG but it is hard to set up. More often than not settings don't change when touched. Very frustrating. Need to have better way to set up and not use settings more than one function. Also set it to stay on rain woke up to white noise setting. Instruction booklet very little help. A good on-off button would be tremendously helpful.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

He can rediscover how it feels to be truly rested with a good night sleep. The HoMedics Deep Sleep® Revitalize Engineered Sleep Sound Alarm Clock provides for him white, brown, pink, or gray noise and sleep therapy programs to choose from that mark distractions, allowing for a deeply restful sleep for a college student. The dual highs performance speakers provides a room filling sound. Furthermore, my son can use his smartphone to stream sounds via Bluetooth. My son can choose fromc8 built-in relaxation and nature sounds, as welk as the 4 adjustable white noise tones. My son can use the 4 meditation sounds ( calm, mask, relax, and soothe) to induce the ultimate feeling of relaxation. What is very convenient is the auto- off timer that can be set for 30, 60, or 90 minutes, so he can fall asleep very relaxed. Best Sleep I Have Had in a While

I'm a very light sleeper whose brain likes to run on and on thinking in the night. Every noise wakes me up, and I also have a bladder that thinks it needs to get up 5 times a night. So, my sleep has suffered. I bought an old second hand homedics sleep machine (10+ years old) and it helped a little, but the quality was "eh". When I got this home, I was very impressed with its appearance. It actually LOOKS nice, I love the colors and how modern it looks. It goes well with my neutral decor, so it doesn't stick out like a sore thumb.
I really appreciate that it has a USB slot in the back to charge my phone since my outlets are otherwise occupied by this and a lamp. I got to admit, I was worried that the clock would bother me (blue light?!), because every light bothers me. On my old sound machine, I had to put black electrical tape over the green lights to sleep. However, with this one, you can not only dim it, you can turn it off! The sound quality blew me away too. It wasn't some dinky speaker, it's actually got really nice sound and can be LOUD. I didn't intend to use it as a bluetooth speaker, but it might be worth it. The sound quality IMMERSES you in it, which makes it more effective than some noise coming from some end of the room.
I use the Sleep Therapy Ocean program and appreciate that it transitions into brown noise (Sleep therapy modes transition, sleep sounds don't). I never even knew what brown noise was, but it's definitely the sound for me. It's a heavier "more full" sound than white noise and does wonders. You can set a timer if you like, but I don't use the timer function. I'm also grateful for 2 alarm clock options, and that you can choose to use different sounds to wake up to (I like the sunrise option with bird tweets) along with being able to set the volume of the sound separately from the current volume.
Most the buttons are intuitive, kind of like the old clock/time system of holding a button down to choose. If I had a complaint about the buttons, it would be the touch ones on the front are maybe a little TOO sensitive, and it's easy to push something when moving the clock. If you're older and not too familiar with technology, it CAN look daunting, but all the instructions are there in the booklet and it really isn't different than older alarm clocks and sleep machines.
Overall though, I love it, and don't understand the negative review, which I find unfair because everything you need to know about the device is there in the booklet.

Great sound therapy

I just bought this sound therapy and I love it except it is difficult to set up and the buttons are not clear. I have been sincerely enjoying this product. I had to figure out
how to use as the instructions in the booklet are not clear.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a hard time falling asleep. My mind races throughout the night. There’s 23 sleep sound programs on the Homedics sleep solution deep sleep revitalize engineered sleep sound alarm clock. My favorite ones are thunder storm and rain. I can sleep really good though a thunderstorm or when it’s raining. It has a Bluetooth speaker, and a phone charger, which I love. I like to listen to music while I’m applying my makeup or cleaning. It’s easy to work, has a dual alarm clock and relaxation, deep sleep and meditation sounds. If you have a hard time falling asleep and staying asleep, you can’t go wrong with this. I use it every night to help me sleep and I use it everyday to listen to my favorite music. I highly recommend this product.
