Not worth the price you pay, serious flaws.

I had high expectations for this product considering its one of the most expensive on the market. It offers very little. You only get heart rate and oxygen readings, nothing more.
It took me all day + the help of customer service to even set it up once arriving. I keep the sock on my baby, extremely tight to the point of leaving marks on his feet and it still says the sock can't get a reading. Ive tried everything, put socks over it, tried both feet, no matter what it goes on and off stating there's a placement issue even though it gives me readings and then will all the sudden stop even though my baby is sleeping and not moving at all.
It also won't give you readings if the baby is moving at all or the sensor detects any kind of movement like a swing or bouncer or literally anything. It will only attempt a reading if its completely still.
The battery claims to last 18 hours, i have yet to get that much life out of it. Im lucky if it doesn't die in the middle of the night (which it has multiple times) and thats with it being on the charger all day and only worn at bedtime.
This does not provide much piece of mind when I have to worry about the battery draining fast while im sleeping and just going completely dead when I need it the most.
It also takes a very long time to charge.
The history/tracking on the app is not very accurate as far as naps and sleep/wake times.
I'm very disappointed in this product and plan to research something else that will bring more piece of mind and ease of use without so many issues and flaws.
Honestly it's not worth the money, i don't regret trying it because I've always been interested in owning it but now that I see how terrible the functionality actually is, I feel like there's other products that are far more reliable.
If you are wanting a peaceful sleep and piece of mind, the smart sock will definitely not provide that.

Had so much trouble connecting had to call my internet provider it only connected to the camera the base could never connect so much trouble to try to connect for so much money 400.$ not recommended this

Worked initially, major disappointment now!

We purchased the Owlet camera and sock combo for out new little bundle of joy. Upon testing it out it worked great. After about a month and a half it just started lagging/not responding constantly. The video would often take more than 5 minutes to load and would freeze constantly. It is worth mentioning that the camera and sock are within a 30ft radius of where we are typically located in the house. We have reset the camera multiple times, repaired it with out phones, and tried everything we can think of. Our wifi is quite strong (250+ MB), so that is not the issue. 6 mo in the sock just recently started to not respond or offer readings, which defeats the whole point. Severely disappointed in a product that was anticipated and quite frankly expected (at the price point) to perform flawlessly. I would not purchase this again and we will have to search for a less expensive alternative to keep tabs on our baby. If you are on the fence with whether or not this product is worth the price, in our experience it was NOT!

Best purchase we made for our baby!

Our son was born premature and we were able to rest assured that he was ok while wearing his owlet. The peace of mind was worth the price! It has worked flawlessly! Also, and of equal importance, the customer care is Amazing!!!

Nothing but issues

Or sick and camera worked great the first few months we had them, even alerting us to several oxygen drops when our son has rsv. Then the camera has issues connecting and data for the sock stopped uploading. When we contacted owlet we were told it had to do with an update, but it has not functioned properly in months, of course after the risk free period is up. Not worth the money to deal with the constant issues.

Great product with real medical data

I was a beta tester for the 3rd generation and I appreciated the fact, as a medical professional, that it gave me real time data for my son. I bought the product a few months after my son was born, because I suffered from Postpartum Anxiety. He was also diagnosed as having a pediatric murmur, which could have progressed to being a more serious concern.
The application on my phone allowed me to check in on him while he slept in the middle of the night (he sleeps in his own room), and to track his data so I can discuss them with his doctor at his well baby appointments.
My only recommendations would be to allow a way to silence the alarms for when I'm taking the sock off in the morning, and to find a way (or offer a baby tube sock) that won't interfere with the sensor. When I use a normal baby sock, even one that is a few sizes bigger, it is so tight that it shifts the sensor around on his foot while putting it on.
It is a great device that helps parents feel confident that their tiny human is still alive and safe. While it is not regarded as a true "medical device" it is enough to allow real time data to be collected and stored, for pediatricians to check for any possible health issues at their wellness visits.
I would highly recommend this product for new parents, those who are concerned about the health of their child, and those who suffer from Postpartum depression or Postpartum anxiety.

I have the second generation owlet smart sock and I love it. It really helped with my anxiety. The only issue I've had is that the connection is very easy to disrupt, sometimes if I put the sock on him before I rock him to sleep it will disconnect just because my body is in between the sock and the base. Other than that I have had no issues.

Having this smart sock has helped my anxiety so much! My son was hospitalized 3 times before he was 6 weeks old, all for unrelated issues. After being in the hospital the first time I had a hard time going to sleep and not being able to make sure my son was breathing and okay. After a few weeks of research my husband and I both came to the decision that the smart sock was the best solution available. After a week of using it my anxiety was practically gone! I love being able to keep an eye on my baby boy even in the middle of the night!
I would recommend this to a friend!
