Worth it spending that price!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Poor exhaust had always been problem for us due to daily cooking. Waited so long to get this product, finally very happy with this product.
Now, no more greasy cabinet and smells.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great unit. One problem though

The unit like all our other KitchenAid equipment is of good manufacturing, consistent appearance, and good service. The one issue we immediately noticed is when we use the power boost mode on the fan it trips the breaker every time.

Poor design - impossible to fully clean

I bought this hood just over a year ago and don't have a problem with how the hood itself works although it is very loud when on it's highest fan level. My problem is that it is not possible to fully clean the unit. The filters are removable and washable but grease is also accumulating in the front of the unit where the lightbulbs are housed. There is no way to remove that part of the hood so I have grease dripping from the front corners onto my stove. When I called support to ask how to clean the front part, I was transferred to three teams and none of them had an answer. The only solution was that they could send a tech out but because I am two weeks over warranty, I would have to pay out of pocket. I don't think I should need a tech to come out to clean my appliance. I'm very disappointed that I spent this much money on a product that seems defective in it's design and that Kitchenaid support was completely unhelpful. I would not recommend this product.

Design needs work

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The unit has 2 major design flaws. First it sticks out much further than other units, so you will smack your head if not very careful when tending pots on the stove. Also there is an automatic setting, that comes on for no reason and cannot be turned off.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Overpriced , installation is a nightmare

The mounting holes on the unit are located alight the edges of the unit , good luck drilling into plywood cabinets and hoping it holds.
Electrical is also located on the left side( most are located on the right ).
Delivery was misleading , KitchenAid said 2 days when actual last mile delivery is 3 weeks out.
I returned the item
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
