ordered as a no cost upgrade but then watched YouTube videos of issues and problems mostly with poor quality casings, aluminum with no sealed paint job. So will hold off for V18 or better. At the high retail price of these Units I wold expect better quality.
I went from a iPhone 15 Plus to a iPhone 17 Pro. My main concern was downsizing as big phones had become to much to maneuver with my small hands. However I find the iPhone 17 Pro to be perfect size for me. It feels nice in the hand and pocket. Also the screen is smaller but it doesn’t stop anything. Still watching videos, playing games, and using the keyboard as usual. It is a very good looking phone of course and as soon as I received it went into a case. Battery life: the first week I was on my phone all the time and I couldn’t gauge it. Now I can work a 10 hour shift, get home and have 70% battery left. Mind you I listen to music and work and frequently checking emails on my phone. The battery life in my 15 plus wasn’t bad and lasted all day but I think I still get more battery from the 17 Pro. Then again it’s all about how often and what you are doing on your phone. Lastly, off rip I realized the 17pro was faster. At some point I had to slow down while using the phone. I was pushing buttons so fast and the phone was moving as fast as my thoughts. The plus wasn’t slow but it sure wasn’t this fast.
I had a lot of information about this phone before purchasing. I have to say that I am very impressed. I came from the iPhone 16 Pro, so I knew the jump in performance wouldn't be massive. But I loved the orange color and felt ready for a bigger screen. My thick fingers have a hard time hitting the little buttons on apps! I love the brighter screen. I love how it feels in my very average sized hands. It's weighty, but in a very balanced way that actually helps me have a good grip on it. The cameras are fantastic as well. I would not hesitate to recommend this phone.
