Small but mighty!

Very great laptop for the price! It is super fast and does what it needs to do. If you're looking for something affordable this is the computer for you. From switching from a Microsoft to a chromebook personally I think is a great choice and is good for entertainment and school work. Dont worry I'm not getting paid to say this! This product is great, doesn't matter the processor.

Great Chromebook for the price

Not my first Chromebrook, I've had a few other ones since they first came out.
Overall, this is a good device. Good screen, fast, really no issues with the performance of it.
Wish there was one more USB port - there is a singular USB 3.0 and singular USB-C port. So if you plan on getting a wireless mouse I would strongly recommend going with a Bluetooth mouse as you won't need to use up the USB port for the mouse connection.
The only complaint I have (and this is Best Buy, not the manufacturer) is that it states microSD slot on the unit. It is actually a normal SD card slot - which is fine. Wish it was microSD though as the microSD cards typically don't stick out as far.
Other than that it's great. Also, unlike some other Chromebooks, the left shift key is a bit bigger (not full size). You will notice that the left shift on many Chromebooks is SMALL (usually the size of, if not slightly bigger than, a normal letter key). The 14 inch display is also nice as most sit between 10 and 11 inches - though the keys on the keyboard seemed to be spaced apart more than a normal keyboard - this will take some getting used to.
ChromeOS support/updates for this model have been extended to mid-2025 so as of writing this we can expect just over 4 years of system updates!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Absolute Garbage

I bought this chromebook about a year ago, and I'm absolutely hating it! This chromebook has an arm processor with slow MediaTek processor, which means that it will be unable to run most of basic functionality such as video editing, let alone run a linux operating system. This chromebook is so slow, in fact it shuts down randomly whenever it feels like it. 4GB of RAM sounds sufficient, right? No, this chromebook leaks memory so much that it cannot even run a basic extension such as a screen recorder. I've been trying to join google meet, and this chromebook is so slow in video processing, so that the screen is laggy. The chromebook has hardware issues, too- its camera often stops functioning, and I had to powerwash and recover this chromebook 4 times already! Also, you should keep in mind, if you are trying to print, then good luck. Chromebooks, after they removed the Google Cloud Print, would not support printers (unless it is a Google-approved printers which I do not have and I do not wish to buy). The cursor is the worst- the cursor of the mouse lags so much, that it is impossible to browse. And, talking about price, the price is so expensive for a generic chromebook- over $300! Honestly, you can buy a decent intel-based chromebook for $200 or less, and this chromebook, given that it does not even have touchscreen, is too expensive. Also, there is only one USB port (USB A). They advertise it as two, but really, the USB C port is just a charging port. Performance degrades exponentially, I would never recommend this product!

Great Chromebook

I bought this for my son for Grade 2 online schooling. I have personally set up my own account on it to give it a try and I'm happily surprised with performance and the ease of use of the ChromeOS. This isn't your top of the line Chromebook but that is expected for the price. The speakers are okay and the screen is alright. It does use a TN panel screen which in general can have washed out coolers from wide viewing angles but this one is quite nice when compared to cheaper TN panels. It feels like a solid machine and so far for any of mine or my son's online uses I haven't experienced any slow downs or hang ups, it runs his online learning games with ease. The battery life is absolutely superb getting probably about 16 hours out of a charge, it also charges very quickly. Trackpad and keyboard work nicely but I have purchased a seperate mouse and keyboard to reduce wear.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I bought this chromebook a year ago, and I am absolutely hating it. This chromebook has a MediaTek Processor, which is an arm processsor, which means that it is an absolutely slow computer, the worst computer I've ever experienced. Do not expect to be able to run linux, nor expect to play any games or video-editing software on this computer. Also, after a while, this computer shuts down for random reason, I had to powerwash and recover this chromebook 4 times already! Also, the memory is 4GB, which sounds sufficient, but really whenever you run a simple extension such as a screen recorder, the computer runs out of memory so it's useless. Google meet is also extremely slow, not recommended for education. Also, the hardware is so bad, the camera often fails to work, and there is only one USB A port. I mean, they say that there is a USB C port, but really, that is just a charging port. Who uses USB C anyways? And for price, I can buy an intel-based chromebook for a much lesser price than this. $300 is just way to expensive for this chromebook that doesn't even have a touchscreen, and that has an arm processor. I would never recommend this product.

Good chromebook

I have been using this chromebook for about 2 months now. It is quite good, easy setup, fast on startup and easy to learn the features (but I still have more to learn as I go!). Has a slot for a mouse which is great.
The keyboard is a little thinner than what I am used to, so I was hitting the wrong letters quite often but have now got used to this.
For my purposes and value it has been great so far.

This laptop is super fast and so portable with a great battery life and ease of use.
It does everything I would do on a windows laptop and more.
this is what computers should have been like years ago.
I would highly recomend a chromebook to anyone but I would also recomend looking into the life expectancy of the chromebook you have in mind before you buy. This particular model is just fine in my expectations.
It isnt perfect, but I can live with the few downsides with this over a windows computer all day long. very nice!!!
