On the downside I find it really noisy which is off putting and the charge doesn’t last that long therefore a longer charging cable is needed. Not sure if I have a faulty unit.

This unit can be a bit to much for the over sensitive. I would imagine if you do well with self stimulating a smaller unit might be a better selection. My wife never used any toys and the first one we got was nice but this one is way too much stimulation almost to the point of aggravating.
