[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's hard to complain about a T-series that keeps some of the things I love most about them: a TrackPoint, long battery life, and a top-notch keyboard. Unlike some other modern ThinkPads, this one kept 1.8mm key travel and the experience of typing on it is still excellent. As a software engineer, this is extremely important to me. The CPU is astounding too. It responds nicely to power and frequency scaling in a very linear fashion, allowing users to greatly increase battery life with a proportional degradation in performance, or vice versa. If there was anything I'd change about it, it would be the newer rubberized finish. It feels like it might wear off a bit, not like it's part of the texture of the material itself. The T480s I just came from, and some others that I've owned felt better to the touch and seemed like I could clean them without damaging the finish, which I worry about with this one.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a Lenovo Thinkpad for 6 years. It has been great for work and home. Very versatile with size and love the touch screen. When I need to replace, I insisted at work that I wanted another Lenovo!! I am very happy with this new laptop.
