[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So far it's a terrific machine, some of the software compatibility has been a thing although I'm hoping it's because I purchased the machine I did and some software is still updating. Ease and speed of use are tip-top.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This laptop is amazing. Runs very smoothly and seems to have better battery life than the older versions. It's a perfect laptop for work and being a college student!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a Thinkpad fan since IBM own it. T14 G2 is like other Thinkpads I have. Nothing fancy but strong as a rock for work. I upgrade the SSD to 1T from 128G. The upgrade is pretty easy. However I will not recommend you upgrade it if you are not familiar with this. Because I found the clips seems pretty fragile and easy to break when opening the back panel. Overall, T14 is still the T series product I expect. I have no doubt it will give its high performance in a few years.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think it is a well built laptop, my only issue with it is that after opening it it takes around 30sec to become responsive on the trackpad. Other than that, it's great!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this after not being able tog et my X1C I really wanted. Usually Lenovo has some logistics issues since a lot of assembly happens off-shore (US Purchase), but this time it was saying 4+ months even though when I placed the order is said something like a handful of weeks. I was really frustrated and contact support and ended up having to cancel my order. Thankfully an agent helped my find a similar computer and now I got this build here. Its form factor is very similar to that of the X1C (except the fiberglass rather than carbon fiber). It also is super upgradeable and great build quality overall. Overall the AMD processor does a good job of staying cool, but I've noticed the battery is not as great as stated (specially not on the 4k screen model). But keeping it in battery saver mode (it really is a fast computer and does well under most circumstances even in this mode) helps a lot. The screen is really nice, but compared to other 4k screens its matte finish really makes it feel dull, it still is wonderful overall. It is a very light and compact build, with a very nice keyboard and includes home, insert, and delete keys as well as pgup/pgdown. The lower price point including the TB drive as well as 24gb ram, was a good touch and I got the device for a good value. I always recommend getting a computer with Lenovo's accident protection. They do a good job of honoring their services and I recommend it to all my clients when recommending them ThinkPads, it'll save you a bunch of headaches. Although it is not the X1C, the 8 core ryzen9 processor is so nice doing a great job of curving its power usage, and the graphics are pretty decent. And its a lot more expandable than the X1C. Aside from the unpleasantness of not getting what I originally wanted, and a shorter battery life, I'm very happy with this purchase. Do note, the battery charges crazy fast which really helps in that area.
