[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very high quality laptop. My previous laptop was also a thinkpad and it's still going strong. An upgrade wasn't needed but I am most definitely happy with this purchase.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Performance: Like any modern machine, it feels fast enough and I'm sure it would shred any heavy multi-threaded workload, but it's not as snappy as I thought it would be.
Display: Despite being able to get the 400nitt low power panel, it was such a huge let down with really bad response times that caused ghosting issues worse than anything I've used in the past decade. After reaching out to others, it seems like they got the same panel on their device as well. No idea why Lenovo still uses the crappy BOE panel. Luckily, my use case doesn't involve any fast moving objects on my screen so the issue isn't as pronounced.
Build Quality: The laptop is pretty sturdy, got a bunch of ports and has a strong hinge, but the finish is just a sweat and dust magnet and will get pretty disgusting if it is not cleaned daily/weekly. Also, I don't know if it's just my unit but the mylar touchpad does not handle small movements well at all, and sometimes I feel like the trackpoint is even more accurate.
Noise & Heat: I can also hear some coil whine/electrical noise from the speakers but it will subside if I pick a lower power/performance plan...still pretty annoying though. Fan noise is pretty minimal and keeps the laptop relatively cool which is nice.
Even though I've kept my unit, I'm not sure if I can recommend this given all the other options out on the market.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this computer for two weeks now and am very impressed with the overall quality of the machine. The AMD processor is very responsive and handles multitasking really well. The display is bright and the touchscreen is a pleasure to use. The keyboard and trackpad are excellent. I also like the variety of ports available.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this laptop to be a Linux laptop. The specs are great and I really like it, but I'm disappointed that I had to pay for a Windows license that I don't need in order to get an AMD processor. Why no Linux option for the T14 AMDs? So far I've tried 5 different Linux distributions on it and they've all worked fine with only the Realtek wifi card requiring any effort to get working. If I could have ordered it with Linux installed I would have given it 5 stars. It runs much cooler than the MacBook Pro I use at work. The keyboard is excellent for a laptop keyboard. The speakers are only so so, but not bad for a laptop. It feels sturdy and solidly built. Another USB-C wouldn't hurt, especially if it could be on the right hand side.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Laptop is so good, picture quality is excellent, very portable to carry everywhere i go. It is a good buy for me
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This laptop is hardy, reliable and a perfect size for home use - but small enough to travel with, if needed.
