So far so good

Works as advertised. Totally compact, easy to install, easy-ish to tuck away for travel. I plugged it into my mac and it just popped right on. Nice to have the extra screen space for sure. A couple of things that could use some adjustment... It's a little on the heavier side, I feel a bit nervous about bringing my screen too far forward. Also, The installation template could be a tad more helpful. The side kick has a distinctive lean (my own fault... but I thought I had done a good job), and it bugs me. I haven't tried moving it yet, because I am not convinced I can do it any better than I already have.
The screen works fine, but the magnetic connection doesn't hold on the best and falls off from time to time. Also, the cord tends to tangle and catch when stowing and unstowing. The weight of the screen is too heavy for our laptop, and if in a vehicle, any little bump pulls on the laptop screen.
In my job, one screen just won't do the trick. And in my small Manhattan apartment, two large free-standing monitors just won't fit. This is the perfect solution and works great! Never had a problem!
I researched stand-alone travel monitors, dual monitors, and the side trak and I landed with SideTrak just based on reviews. It has been a game changer. I can work anywhere in the house now vs having to be at my desk and I travel next week and I need dual monitors when I am presenting to clients so I now have that capability. I was worried the monitor would be heavy and tip my laptop over but it is super lightweight so no worries there. Pretty easy to install and I like that I can use on my personal laptop and my work laptop. Get the 14" monitor. Very happy customer and everyone at work is envious!
I have an older computer and the sidetrack came w everything needed It has detached on it's own a couple of times. Not sure what that's about, but I think that I might not be correctly snapping it in place. I love it though.
This really freed up my fingers from keeping hovering over alt+tab"¦and tit works for both home and office. Cons: 1. the wire"¦kind of annoying 2. although the instruction said the screen can be installed on both sides of the laptop, but when I installed it on the left side I realized the screen is upside down"¦maybe functionally it still works, but at least I can't stand the sight of upside-down logo"¦ 3. Weight. Screen itself is light, but adding the magnet, and together with the laptop it adds up. Overall, good purchase and our office is thinking about buying for everyone
