The computer is fast and not that heavy compared to the last computer I owned and still have which was an older Asus computer that still functions. Screen quality is good with no issues with graphics. Fan noise is noticeable but not offensive and only when the graphic card is used to run games or video render.

Subpar performance & critical errors disappoint me

While I like the design features and the published specs, in practice this machine does not perform well in the competitive video games. The Rysen 9 / Nvidia 3060 combo's graphic performance was very subpar, with lockups and thermal throttling that could not be mitigated or resolved. Compared to my ASUS ROG Strix G502VT, which is able to handle the same games with only a slight reduction in performance, this machine is inferior in real world testing IMO. I will need to replace my current laptop, but this version of ASUS offering is not it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

great system all around.
-not as fast as i hoped, but, runs great for most applications. it came with 16gb RAM and i believe 32gb is needed.

-a bit hard to configure and had some driver issues in Win 10. when i upgraded to win 11 most of those went away except if i use Cubase for audio production, so far i cannot get the audio to play through headset, only system speakers. plus, it has a volume set may be to max and using the sound controls in windows has no effect on the volume
not a big deal but, i have many situations that i need headset only on cubase 11 (like long drives or flights)
