The Maestro is espresso perfection in your home!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I worked in college as a barista where I gained a lifelong education about coffee and developed a discerning taste for what quality coffee means. With this knowledge and palette being both a blessing and a curse, I have forever since been on a search for the consumer-grade equipment to equip my kitchen with the ability to produce coffee that my tastes demand. After literal years (and thousands spent I’m sure) of purchasing espresso machines I am so proud to say that this quest is finally over. Thank you, De’Longhi.
The La Specialista Maestro is absolutely amazing on all fronts and delivers true professional coffee house quality beverages without a steep learning curve. Upon unboxing it is clear that extreme care and craftsmanship has gone into the design of every purposeful component. Every handle, reservoir, etc. feels substantial and weighted; and each component locks into place solidly without question or wiggle. The control panel gauges are precise, bright, and clear without being ostentatious. The stainless finish is bright and beautiful, and the metal feels thick and seems like it will be resistant to accidental dents. Plastic components have been the point of weakness in prior espresso machines I have owned but are not a concern here – the plastic of the bean container, water reservoir, and top of the milk container are all very thick plastic and I am confident would withstand accidental drops or even worse.
Using the La Specialista Maestro is an absolute joy. Seriously. The device may seem intimidating but the quick start guide contains everything a new user with no experience would need to know to become proficient in an hour or less. After setup and your first foray in, each brew will be easier and easier until the process will be second nature. What is beautiful about an appliance so well designed as the La Specialista Maestro is that you are not ever fighting poor craftsmanship or design – everything is exactly where it should be, precise, and operates with perfection. With such a home court advantage you will extract every bit of quality from the beans and I guarantee that with using the La Specialista Maestro you will brew the most amazing espresso you have experienced – and you will have done it yourself!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a coffee snob. I’ve spent so much money on drinks, just to be disappointed because they aren’t made correctly. I did some research and decided to give this machine a try. The Delonghi brand was actually recommended to me by a professional barista! This machine has all the settings and features I was looking for. I did have a little trial and error to find the perfect grind and settings for my taste, but after the 4th cup I have it perfected! I love that I can froth my milk myself or have it done for me on those busy mornings. This machine looks beautiful on my kitchen counter. My friends are impressed!

My new favorite kitchen appliance!

This machine has made my life so much easier and will save me money in the long run. I was concerned that learning to use it would be difficult but I was so wrong! Here’s the pros: User friendly
Makes coffee and perfect temp. No time to sit around and wait for coffee to cook down.
Optional to make coffee as strong as you like.
Can do one or two shots of espresso at a time. And do the milk frothing at the same time as coffee is being made.
Here’s the cons:
You’ll need to clean each piece after every use but it only takes a few moments to do that so basically there are NO cons.

The perfect espresso!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great espresso machine for people who love espresso. Too often I go out for an espresso and it tastes lousy and watered down. This machine gives you all the adjustments you need to make when it comes to your perfect espresso. I can adjust the automatic coffee grinder to a more fine grind. I can adjust the dose of grounds per espresso, the temp of the water, in order for the perfect espresso with the right amount of crema. Not over or under extracted. The machine grinds the beans once you put in the portafilter to the specific grounds set in the machine. I use dark espresso beans, so a fine grind works best.
Another wonderful feature is the automatic frother that can attach to the milk container. I can set the machine up for a latte and it will make the espresso and froth the milk at the same time to pour into my cup right after the espresso is poured in. The La Specialista can make all sort of drinks automatically. It can make an Americano, cappuccino, coffee, flat white, and a latte. It’s pretty easy to clean, and has now become a part of my morning and afternoon routine!

The best espressos hands down!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love a good espresso and I also enjoy having the control over my espresso by making them myself however my current machine is a bit lacking in options. So I immediately jumped at the opportunity to try the De'longhi La Specialista Maestro Espresso Machine and all I can say is WOW this is one amazing machine, and it makes probably THE BEST espresso I have ever had. That said lets take a deeper dive into the La Specialista Maestro.
Packaging/In the Box – Everything was well packaged/protected for shipping and all the parts were easy to locate and ready for assembly, of which there is not much to do as the machine comes 90% assembled. In short you just have to remove protective wrapping/packaging and assemble the pour filter and coffee baskets. In the box you have the pour filter, 12 gram (single) and 21 gram (double) filter baskets, a milk jug/latte system, descaler solution, descaler accessory, cleaning disc and cleaning brush, and power cord.
Installation/Setup – Setup as I said was super simple, the instructions for setup and first time use/cleaning are clear and easy to follow.
Use – Now this is where the La Specialista Maestro just blows every other espresso machine I have used out of the park. There is a ton of customizable settings which frankly, I am still figuring out. The awesome thing is that De'longhi has a great youtube page with a lot of helpful videos on using your La Specialista Maestro and is a huge help on getting started. Just search for DeLonghi How to and and then I found the easiest way to get at the relevant videos for this particular machine is to search for Maestro on the channel itself.
Final thoughts on the De'longhi La Specialista Maestro Espresso Machine are that it’s a professional grade, feature packed espresso machine that makes some amazing drinks, whether they be espresso, macchiatos, Americanos, or lattes! We are going to get A LOT of use out of this amazing espresso machine!

It looks intimidating but is not- it is actually very easy to use and keep clean. It gives the option to practice your barista skills or just go in autopilot. The tamper is easy to use-some coffee grounds do fall down in the tray but they can be easily vacuumed out or just dump when cleaning the tray. The steamer is great- I had one that was just regular manual mode and it was fun the first few times but after that you had to sit and wait for it to warm up and steam the milk- sometimes it would be great other times my steaming skills were off and it was not as great. The auto milk steamer just does it on its own! I push the OK button and in about a minute I have my perfect cup of whatever I want! I even do not use my Moccamaster coffee machine as much (just for more than a cup)- this makes a better cup of coffee that tastes superb. The auto mil steamer needs to be cleaned after use - there is a cleaning on the machine that is easy but then it should be taken apart and rinsed out- it takes about a minute so I’m not taking anything off the review.

Luxurious coffee easily at home

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have never been so excited to get delivery as when my La Specialista Maestro arrived and it has lived up to my expectations. Working from home, I have been missing my specialty espresso drinks that I got in the city at work but I was always scared of how complicated espresso machines seemed. La Specialista Maestro allows me to recreate the specialty drinks easily at home. It provides a number of easy to use settings (and comes with instructions) to maximize the taste of your beans. Plus, it includes a tamper that does not leave any mess – in my looking, I have not seen many espresso machines that include this feature. It also has six pre-set drink settings that you can choose from that make it easy to prepare specialty drinks. However, what really sold me on the La Specialista was the automatic milk frothing system. It is called the LatteCrema System and it is absolutely amazing. It takes all the guess work and confusion out of milk frothing and does it for you! All I do is fill the milk jug, put on the special top, and plug it right into the machine. It froths the milk based on your drink setting and then dispenses it right into the cup for you. My husband says it tastes just like the best coffee shops. I will say that I watched a lot of De’Longhi videos online (that I highly recommend) and read the instructions before using. The set up and first use did take me a bit of time to figure everything out, but I have never owned an espresso machine so that is to be expected. Even though it look a little time, the first espresso came out great right out of the gate. By the second day, I felt like I was already an expert. That is thanks to all the technology and a well thought out, easy to use design. My one tip, measure your counter space and clearance under your cabinets. The La Specialista Maestro is large and tall. The only downside for me is that it does not fit under the cupboard where I wanted to put it by a little bit, so I had to relocate across the kitchen. It also heavy, about 40 pounds, so get help with the delivery and getting it out of the box if you need it.
