Awesome product easy setup

The instructions that came with this are top notch and easy. The set up was effortless.I love this screen! Its a perfect option for when Im not able to be at my desk. One note: the instructions are clear that the screen needs to be supported when in use. People have complained about the magnets not being strong enough. I dont agree with those people. I use this on my MacBook Air & Pro, on my lap and simply make sure its supported on my legs. Ive had no issues. This is a great product.

Game Changer for My Busy Season From Home
on December 8, 2020

This is a game changer for tax season. Since working from home, I miss my needed 3 screen setup at the office and needed a solution. These best part is that these are portable. My laptop is large (17 inch) and we were still able to get these to work with the clip that is provided. If you are doing a 3 screen setup, read the instructions twice and watch a few videos before doing it. Not hard at all.

This screen was great. Made zoom meetings much better as I could always see the faces of all the meeting members. Great build quality and easy to set up.

Increased productivity on the go!

Working from home now I have a 3 monitor system. The wife uses her laptop around the house and I felt left out seeing her work serenely from the comfort of the comfy couch next to the fireplace (or out on the deck in the summer/spring). Here I am stuck in my stuffy office. Enter the Trio Max..... I've got all 3 screens which equals the same level of productivity from anywhere in the house! Not to mention when I'm traveling! Setup is relatively simple. The magnets are surprisingly strong (even with BOTH monitors attached). The only downside is that you have to move the screens to where they stick out a bit on the right (or left alternatively) for them to be able to slide out and fold in. This causes an issues on the left (or right alternatively) as the other monitor is then shifted which pulls it IN and doesn't allow it to be seen completely. I got around that by moving the clips a bit they don't hold as well, but if you're relatively careful it works. That's the only suggestion I would have. Allow the clips to slide the monitors themselves as well. So create clips that slide the monitors and of course the screens themselves already slide. Hope that makes sense. Other than that.... GREAT product!

Keeps cutting in and out

After about a week, every computer I hook it up to keeps cutting in and out. Plus the magnets are not strong enough and it just feels flimsy. Good concept, bad in practice. Ended up getting a different screen and a stand to put it on and much happier.

So much room for activities!

I love all the extra desktop space the 2nd monitor provides. I can work on so many things without having to context switch as much. I can't wait for the 2nd monitor to come so I can have 3 screens to work on!I wish I had this screen in grad school! That would have helped my studying so much!

Much better than expected
on November 14, 2020

I had a lot of skepticism even when ordering this product and compared to other similar products that are available right now or coming soon (which aren't many).Overall design concept and build: 4 starsOverall concept is actually well thought out. I admit that the plastic backpanel on which magnets are attached to feels a bit flimsy. But it does the job, and argument can be made that it's for reducing weight. Minus one star for the cheap feel. The steel discs and magnets might feel like a joke, but actually it works better than expected for a few reasons. Two Trios weigh as much as a laptop itself, and putting that much weight on the laptop screen housing will either damage the hinges down the road or make the laptop do a backflip. The magnets attach to the discs but they have some wiggle room so that it slides down to the desk surface and puts Trio's weight on the desk instead of the laptop screen. The wiggle room between the magnet and discs actually allows you tilt the laptop backwards more for better viewing angle, and keep the Trio's weight on the desk surface. A lot of similar product's solutions like hanging the portable monitors on the edge of laptop screen puts a lot of weight on the hinge. My bet is that your viewing angle will be very limited, almost 90 degrees upright. Tilt the screen back, and most laptop hinges won't be able to hold up the weight of two extra screens.**I have a windows laptop and attached a thin cut-to-order polycarbonate sheet matching my laptop size, used Velcro fasteners to attach the polycarbonate sheet to behind the laptop screen. The velcro stickers will be much easier to remove down the road than metal discs without getting some scuffs. For Macbook users, I strongly suggest using a hard case.***Connectivity:I wish it had a mini HDMI like other portable monitors. USB-C input is fine, buttery smooth. But using USB-A input makes it laggy, feels like a remote desktop or the Duet app on the iPad (since it uses the same DisplayLink technology over USB A). My laptop only has one USB-C so I have to live with the laggy screen on one side. It's okay for static screens, but lag is noticeable when you play a video, and forget gaming with USB-A connection.Other notes:When you attach two 14 inch Trios to a 15inch laptop, the width of a triple monitor setup is similar to a 43 inch monitor when toed in, and wider when not toed in. You're not going to be able to pull out both at most cafe's or any public space. A single unit should suffice for most users. It's lighter as well. If you do decide to get two Trios, make sure you have two USB C ports or be ready to live with a lag on one of them.

Trio Max

I ordered a Trio when it was on Kickstarter. It worked for about 6 months than started to flicker a lot and now it is a black screen that just says "please wait". This has been stuck in my closet for about a year because it does not work. I am about to throw out because I cannot find any answers to my problem.
