Product quality and features changed

Purchased my first Electrolux washer & dryer in 2009, Wave Touch Turquoise. I was truly impressed with the heavy duty quality of these machines and the wonderful features on them. Unfortunately this year, my washer had troubles and it was cheaper to buy new rather than repair the old. Since Turquoise was no long available I decided to purchase both washer & dryer for the match.
Expecting the same quality and features, I was extremely disappointed after the first use of both.
The heavy duty quality is gone as are the wonderful features I became accustom to using. I can no longer use the high and max spin due to the washer now being so light weight the machine moves around too much. The timing of cycles have changed as well as temperature use. Also, the washer uses even less water than did my Wave Touch and clothing do not come out clean. I have to use a laundry booster now. The dryer is no different. The built quality is gone as are certain features. With the light weight metal of the machines, gone is the quietness of both washer and dryer. The dryers reverse tumble feature for bedding was an excellent feature, gone. The dryer lint screen is so big it now has a ledge to catch small items and they stay on it, but it does catch more lint now. Clothes come out with wrinkles even when Perfect Steam Wrinkle Release and Extended Tumble options are used. I never had this problem before. The temperature setting even on low is too hot. The dryer door glass seal is a dirt and fine lint dust catch all that requires a toothpick to clean out. The completion beep on both machines is highly annoying as it goes on and on rather than just once.
Electrolux, I am extremely disappointed with your washer and dryer. You took a quality product and turned it into an overpriced tin can and lost me as a customer in the process. I also warned others I knew who had purchased the Wave Touch after I bought mine as they were impressed as well. My recommendation to them has been to pay the cost of having it fixed if they encounter the same troubles as I did. Otherwise, look at another brand. The LuxCare model is not worth the money.

My wife and I bought our first ever Washer and Dryer, and they were there Electrolux brand. We had never heard of them, but we fell in love with the style, features, and price at the appliance store. When we had them installed, we were ecstatic, and eager to try them. The Dryer's steam dry and its sanitize dry, are so cool! Leaves our clothes smelling extra clean and fresh. Towels have always been a problem with our past washer and dryer that we were renting, they always seemed to smell like mildew after a few days. With these washer and dryers, there is no way the soap is left in your towels, and with the sanitizing dry, it kills any bacteria! We are so in love, we will be electrolux customers for life.

Loved the features of both the washer and dryer

We moved into a new home and needed a new washer and dryer. The Electrolux product was recommended by the sales person and he made other recommendations in the past so we decide to mak the purchase. W have been very happy with both products. One thing i miss is a hand wash cycle on the washer.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Design

The dryer is large but my favorite feature is the lint collection. It is fully enclosed and traps almost all the lint. Love the different cycles and flexibility to change settings. Love the steam feature. Bought the pedistals to go with and have lots of room. Great energy saving as well.
