Really Cleans!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love my Electrolux washer. It is quiet, easy to use, and does a fabulous job cleaning clothes from delicates to heavy duty work clothes. I did not buy a pedestal initially, but went back and purchased one because I found myself on my hands and knees getting clothes from the back of the washer. My only complaint is that there is no light in the washing machine. Now I keep a flashlight handy to make sure there are no clothes left in the machine. Electrolux-add a light to future models!

This brand kept coming up with a very positive profile for reliability and owner satisfaction. So far i really like it. It cleans clothes well. There is no longer the floor shaking vibration that I had with my old Whirlpool. I highly recommend this machine.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just replaced my 15 year old Frigidaire washer and dryer with a mid-level brand new Electrolux set in Ice Blue and couldn't be happier. These units are so quiet, and the intuitiveness of the button menus make doing laundry a breeze. I got the dryer that has the steam feature for making these less wrinkled. Wow- it works. I am notorious for letting the clothes sit in the dryer too long and this feature alone is a major win for me. Especially for for branded work shirts which are those pullover polos. They come out so nice and smooth- and only takes a few minutes. I also like having a quick cycle which my daughter loves because as a student with a part-time job, she is always behind on her laundry and also wears branded clothing that must be wear-ready. I've already received compliments on the color of these machines from my visiting neighbor. I did not buy the pedestals, instead opting to build my own three-crate drawer pedestal cabinet out of 2 x 6 lumber that's about 15" in height. The units were fairly easy to maneuver into position and hook up. It was a fun father/daughter project. I'm very happy with my purchase from the Home Depot, which was delivered to my home with great care and friendliness.

Scented gasket?

There seems to be a scent emanating from the gasket of the door. Is the gasket made of rubber or silicon? Is some kind of scent embedded in the gasket? I’m not a fan of artificial scents. I would like for the scent to go away otherwise I love the washing machine.

My clothes have never smelled cleaner
