Received the unit as a Christmas gift. It worked fine for the a couple of weeks, but it started to not come on when we closed the door. it progressively got worse to the point where it will not turn on. drove 2 hours to the best buy my son purchased it from to return it. The would not take it as i did not have a receipt. I would not recommend this unit to anyone.
My smaller 3.2L does a better job. This larger one does not heat equally on the 3 pan levels. Top one almost burns food, and the lower ones do not heat evenly. As a small oven it works well - if you're only cooking 1 item. It's okay but I wouldn't buy another one.
I wanted to like this but just wasn't impressed. It is very loud when running and the beeps are so shrill. I tried flatbread pizza twice and the crust was always soggy in the center. I find if you do more than one tray of anything you have to constantly babysit it and switch the trays so they cook evenly. It sucks as a toaster too. I returned it this am. I did think it was well made and didn't have any issues with the door as some have reported.
Very slick and cozy design. I have been cooking healthy meals since I got it. Love the rotassory option for grilling chicken. It is also a great home warming gift for new home owner, kitchen renovation gift for wife
I read the reviews so I was leary on purchasing, especially about the door, and uneven cooking. From when we received it the door never opened and closed correctly without having to adjust it into place... not a big deal, we loved the air fryer my kids loved it, and used it daily. The cooking is very uneven if you have more than one tray, so they have to be rotated regularly during cooking. If it’s only one tray then it’s fine. Then one day it just shut off and never turned on again after 3 months. There was power, there was a light, but the panel didn’t light up and it was not able to be fixed. Due to our stay at home orders I couldn’t replace it, and I have worked it out so I have to purchase another one. Disappointing because we really did enjoy it quite it was working despite the quirks. What I don’t understand is if everyone is having the same issues why isn’t Insignia fixing them?
First time trying to air fry an entire chicken and, even though this wasn't an enormous chicken, it wasn't a cornish hen either. There is no way the chicken would have been able to turn in the oven. Very disappointed.
